So I'm new to the forum apologies if this is well worn territory or not interesting but after a little time here I see a lot of unsatisfied boxing fans and I guess I wonder what a fighter needs to do for someone to be a fan of theirs and what they need to do to lose your support? Is your ideal fighter a natural talent or a hard worker who plies his craft evenly? Do you tend to focus on who's the top guys at a given moment and matching them up or are you happy watching 2 lesser fighters (or great fighters post prime) that are evenly matched slug it out? What about on a personality level? Stylistic level? I for example can admire and appreciate defensive wizards but I'll just never love them as much as guys that stand in the pocket and overpower/outwork their opponent. But for some "hit and don't get hit" is the guiding maxim of the sport and the primary judge of a fighters greatness. Of course you could cite some of your favorite fighters and let me draw the conclusions but I found it interesting to examine why I like or don't care for certain fighters.
Needs to take risks It's about overcoming adversity, humble in victory and in defeat. Coddling and protecting records is not what boxing is about when you reach the upper echelon. This content is protected
