"Officially" has more debate power over everyone picking this guy or that guy.

For argument's sake, it's better to use official numbers, otherwise we just argue for 25 pages about "my list" and "your list" and "poster c list" and "poster d list" and "poster E list" etc etc...

So using official lists (Ring or ESPN are my official lists that I go by) is the best way...otherwise, we will never get to the thread topic and will just argue about WHY or WHY NOT official list is good to use.

It's better than everyone putting their own list in on rankings, because everyone has a different opinion.

So based on official items, answer the question.:good

You're right but P4P is partly based on who is the best regardless of weight classes.

I mean P4P opinion based anyway, should I rate Cloud higher than Campillo because he won officially or Campillo higher since I scored the fight for him and was more impressed by his skill?

You are going to get different lists when it comes to pound for pound anyway since how you rate a win is based on how you view the fighter he beat and how strong the weight class is. Which peoples opinions are going to vary.

You go off of what happened officially. Otherwise, we all never get on topic and instead argue about which is better and the thread topic is never touched. Using official rankings get's this out of the way and we can all focus on topic at hand.

I like ESPN and Ring rankings for my "official" rankings.

    1. Ward
    2. May
    3. Pac
    4. JMM
    5. Martinez

I think Ward has better wins than May. If he was promoted better, he would be talked about more. If he promoted himself like May, we would talk about Ward more than Money.

And if in the same weight, I think Ward would find the way to beat May.

Oh god we have another one.

I go off by who actually won the ****ing fight, ergo Marquez beat Pacquiao moving up in weight (2 divisions at that) and won against a fighter who hadnt lost since they last fought back in 08, which I believe Marquez also won.

Pacquiao was coming of wins over : Mosley, Margarito, Clottey, Cotto, Hatton and Delahoya and was regarded p4p #1 / 2

Then we have Ward who dragged Dawson down in weight which clearly showed in his performance, who was coming off a win over a 47 year old hopkins, a nc which could be viewed as a dq loss, a lackluster win over diaconou and a loss to pascal.

When you put things in perspective

    Mayweather
    Martinez
    Marquez
    Ward

It can get out of hand yes, but how can you say one fighter is better just because he got a gift/robbery? its ludicrous, your basically saying "dont matter how hard you try, if it goes 12 then you lose regardless of what happens"

I give up, ive made my point
