An apology? I don't think so, he did get caught with it and suspended from it etc... so I'm pretty confident it happened, the only question is, did he do it previous to the Mosley fight. Even if he didn't he still doesn't deserve an apology but the virtual asterisk we have on Margo pre-Mosley fight might be lifted.

It's called common sense. Why would this cjheater load up his gloves for a promoted tune-up against Shane Mosley yet go in fairly against Cotto in a PPV fight literally and openly promoted to be his last chance ever?

Don't forget that this fight was also "Puerto Rico vs Mexico" with the Mexican being a live underdog, I'm sure you know about the boxing rivalry there.

Sure I know but there was never much output by the boxing media regarding true facts. Having plaster in your wraps could break your hands also, your knuckles are very hard, how would plaster within gloves be any harder than knuckles?

 

Well just like anything else without solid proof all we have is the evidence, which we have in Nasim seeing as well as others, the suspension etc. IMO he attempted it in the Mosley fight. As a Margo fan, I wanna believe he didn't do it previous to that, but if I look at it as a newcomer/non Margo fan, I would think he did that **** beforehand too. I think if he beats Cotto again(which I think he will) it would alleviate a lot of this suspicion, but he'll never get rid of all the suspicion unfortunately.

 

Yeah, I can imagine the hand wrap issue will always be just that, an issue. I'm not in a position to say what happened, if anything did happen, but if Margo wins again he gets the thumbs up from me. Still hope Cotto beats him though.

 

I kinda feel sorry for Cotto come to think of it. If he struggles in a hard-fought bout or loses in a devastating manner, that most likely will be the end of him. Margarito seems to match up perfectly with him and he's lost his last two big fights and with the suspcions of the first fight I know a loss would devastate Cotto. Props for him taking a rematch but even though both men are faded, Margarito is still dangerous but I hope his eye doesn't cause too much problems in the rest of his career. Cotto needs to stay off the ropes and fight smart and I'm sure Steward has a good gameplan for Cotto to follow.
