What does AJ fighting Sprott acheive?

Its a British Title Eliminator, thats the only possitive i see, atleast they are keeping him busy, its not like we are waiting months at a time. I think Cornish/Lewison/***ton for British title (providing Fury/Chisora vacate it) after sprott fight then Kevin Johnson which is already rumoured to be happening in May according to Steve Bunce, get some rounds under his belt then defend the British Title against David Price.

 

Im suprised they are thinking of putting AJ in with price so soon.

Unless they see Price as damaged goods its a risky fight - a case of however lands first wins possibly.

The sprot fight just means he was British champ - not a bad thing to achieve this early in his career - Audley never managed it

That's looking at the positves but I really had to look hard.
Best thing I could say is Sprott isn't a mug and it gives him a fight 5 weeks after his last one which is pretty good. Plus he's well known so a win over him carries some weight too.

5 fights ago Sprott was the sort of opponent everyone was demanding.

You can't have it both ways.

 

This, plus it's a name (some) people have heard of. Joshua is still very inexperienced, every fight is a chance to try out the things he has been working on in the gym.

 

Sprott may be able to give Joshua rounds although he has gone downhill after his Prizefighter victory.

It may turn out that Sprott at the very least takes Joshua beyond round three.

 

I'd laugh if Mike won. I like that guy a lot; super likeable guy.

 

I'm even more surprised Price is on about taking it on, after the Thompson fights all we heard from Price, his team and the Sauerlands was about the rebuilding process.

 

Absolute waste of space and the only thing Eddie is interested in is how quick he can stick AJ on PPV.

The first real test against Price, Chisora, or Fury will be PPV and Eddie can stick it up his arse.

 

Price is damaged goods - no bottle or stamina.

His only chance is a Deontay Wilder one round punch out.

 

think the sprott fight was arranged a while back, don't think Eddie was expecting AJ to blast through his last 2 opponents so quick, looks a step backwards in terms of quality now.

wouldn't surprise me if sprott gets a convenient "injury", and someone else is bought in.
