What does Bivol need to do to win a rematch?

LMAO Beterbiev scorers have such creative imaginations.

 

Bivol’s defense and movement was excellent but was still wilting from the body shots and pressure that Beterbiev brought down the stretch. It’s hard to b100% perfect against a guy like Beterbiev who will always find ways to slow down a fighter and do damage no matter how little it looked. Thats why it would only suit him more to fight fire with fire and become the bull the next time they meet. Canelo did the same where he decided to come forward and push GGG in the rematch and ended up getting the nod.

 

I think there are some things he could rectify / improve on - especially in a couple of places were he over-committed, got greedy and sparked Artur into activity. He head-hunted too much and neglected the body, and didn't vary the jab enough there.

I think much of the rematch will come down to whether Bivol was nervous/intimidated (he seemed twitchy to me and I think that had a bad effect on his stamina - though Artur has to get credit on it as well), and whether he can rectify it in the return. I think if he can be more consistent with a varied jab, avoid over committing, then he could continue to disrupt Artur and fight more at his own tempo and distance.

All maybes, as one has to take into what the other fighter allows the other fighter to implement!

 

This video does a good example of explaining why fighters are so twitchy and use so much energy against AB. They are afraid of his power. They get nervous.

Yeah I get that, but was more meaning whether having gone the distance removes some of those nerves and maybe keeps him more focussed on holding centre ring and jabbing 1/2 more effectively and less in spurts

 

Eh imo just become more risky: he become overly cautious in the championship rounds and gave too much respect to Artur.
Obv it's easier to say than execute but imo it was that that costed him the fight in front of the last judge (even if i got him winning a close fight/draw)

 

Too much respect for the old man need better legs to survive one punch could finish him.

 

Have a change of location for the fight....with different judges. I am all for helping any one with a disability.....but using the "Blind referees R Us"
is a bit much.
