I agree with most of what you said. Canelo is a very good fighter, I enjoy watching him but have my reservations.

The only thing I disagree with is that I think there are many ATGs that would handle him fairly easily. Heck, even Bivol made it look pretty easy and he's no ATG.

Good point. Perhaps I should rephrase that any fighter in history would have trouble stopping Canelo but youre right he can def be outboxed (Floyd, Bivol, stretches of Lara)

Don't be a bellend mate. I think Benavidez is overrated, especially by the bloke who writes those cringe anti-Canelo articles on BoxingNews24 or w/e it's called. But whether you like it or not Benavidez is being tipped to be a serious contender for Canelo and would probably serve as a good signature win for Cinnamon late in his career. It also helps Benavidez could gobble up Plant, who himself had a memorable win last year, and would be the first Mexican/ancestry fighter he's fought since 2017(?). Boxing hardcores also know Canelo hasn't cleared 168 until Benavidez is soundly beaten. It is what it is

I think beating John Ryder has more merit than JermAll, so foh with this Al Haymon shite, but Benavidez WOULD be a signature win no matter how you slice the pie. Not up for debate

Beterbiev has beaten Gvodzyk, Smith, Johnson, Browne, and Kalajdzic. Benavidez beat...Dirrell and...Gavril? And needed two fights to beat Gavril???

Yeah, Benavidez is NOT a signature win. He's pure hype even if he's decent but the hype around him makes it sound like he should be PFP...w zero notable wins at 26 fights.

Well said, young man. A "signature win" is a necessity IMO for an ATG, even for entry into the HOF in which the bar is set very low lately.
Had he beaten Bivol, or Canelo in I or II (third fight vs an old GGG is irrelevant and Canelo didn't look great either) or Floyd for that matter the issue will be sealed. Beating up C level Englishmen doesn't get you into the boxing Olympus.

He's been ducking Benevidez forever and I don't know why. Beat him FFS, beat Bivol at 168 then we'll talk.
