To win over the naysayers who say he doesn't deserve his top 5 p4p status? he pulled off a huge upset when he knocked out an unbeaten champion in Darchinyan. Destroyed Montiel, who was widely regarded as THE champion at Bantam, battered a larger Mathebula, is such a dangerous puncher several opponents such as Nishioka and Jorge Arce fought cautiously against him and still got koed.
He also has a win over Mithalane, a top dog at flyweight.

I'm not saying he is better p4p than Andre Ward or Sergio Martinez or Mayweather but he deserves number 5 on the list anyway.

This is the next Filipino sensation, the succesor to Pac and Nonito has voluntered for the random drug testing, something Pac never did. He deserves all respect.

I think he will beat Mares next. We will see where he goes from there.

Not only will he not have naysayers anymore. He'll become an icon if he did all of that.

Just keep winning. Nothing else he can really do.
It has alot to do with his weightclass.

But as mentioned, Rigo & Mares fights are a must.

He's already top 5 p4p. The Ring is just on some BS and seem to have a real agenda with this current list

I'd say he's about top 5. He's consistly fighting good fighters, and winning. He's comparable with Ward, and Martinez IMO. If he beats Mares and Rigo most definitely top 5.

He's easily top 5. The opinion of that silly **** Giampa and a handful of other clowns doesn't change anything.

KO Rigonglass so nobody calls him ducker anymore

I reckon Nonito could do it with a pawing jab

current RING P4P list is a joke that nobody should take seriously, though

how about, he starts with fighting the top guys from his division... He might have had 4 fights this year, but his opponents were terrible. Last weekend was absolutely disgusting.

    Define ¨top guy¨

Because apparently the ranked #1 in the division and the IBF champion dont count as top guys for some of you:think

he needs to fight a guy in his league Mares or Rigo

Arce was done, Nishioka was done, Mathebula had a belt but he wasnt that good, Vasquez jr was good and gave Donaire a tough outing

I just think Donaire should face a guy who isnt a predetermined result

id say Mares and Rigo are 50/50 fights

maybe im crazy but does it to me look like Donaire has been less dynamic more left hook happy less right hand and looks slower?

I'm a Ward fan and I think he has the best overall skill set and will eventually take p4p #1, but...........

Donaire has been the man in ......
