First, let's say the obvious--Dimentenko is risking his life. A fighter who get bullied by Eddie Chambers and Kubrat Pulev has no business fighting Ortiz. Dimentrenko has had decent career primarily because he is huge. But he punches a bit under his weight, has a poor chin, is not a skilled boxer, and quits when things bet tough. All of that being said, Ortiz is supposedly part of this "tournament" for the WBA belt, with Ustinov being the first fight, and I understand that can happen in June. What happnes if Dimi gets a lucky punch and cuts him? What if there is an injury in trainging camp? At his age, it just makes more sense to bypass an unecessary risk and wait for the shot. Stupid fight.
Dimitrenko is going to get stopped in 4 rounds. Its his payday. Not many guys want to fight Ortiz, but its good that he is keeping himself busy at age of 36.
