What does everyone think about the overrated Margarito now??

Margo may be like Carlos Palomino.......he will be more and more appreciated as he makes more title defenses.

He is good for boxing.

 

He will be a victim to a slick boxer who he can't hit with his telegraphed punches...

Or to somebody like Paul Williams who is is size or bigger who can beat him off of him for 12 rounds...

 

Now they all think Cotto was Overrated.

All we heard before the fight was about how overrated Margarito was and how his resume was not nearly as impressive as Cotto's.
90% of the forum picked Cotto to win by late knockout , or UD.

NOWWWWW all of us Margarito fans get to hear how overrated Cotto was.

Still overrated IMO, found the perfect guy in Cotto that's all he did IMO. Williams will give him another boxing lesson if he ever gets the balls to rematch him.

Cotto did everything right. He was outclassing Marg and landing hard, flush shots. But what can you do when the guy in front you of has a chin of a tank? I mean it's like shooting an M16 at a tank. You can hit it all you want but it's not going to do anything. I expected the shots Cotto landed to have an effect as the fight wore on but it didn't. Therein lies the difference. Had the shots Cotto landed started to have the expected effect, it would've been a boxing exhibition. But you have to credit Marg for having such a great chin. Not to mention, the guy is a huge WW.

 

He is good! he needs another impressive win to silence his critics.

 

I think to beat Marg, you need two things for sure. Size and skill. Skill won't do it alone (Cotto) nor will size/power (Cintron). Williams has both the size and skill and that's why he beat Marg. Marg couldn't overwhelm him. And although Clottey lost to Marg, he had a pretty solid showing and he is a huge WW himself with boxing skills. He lacks stamina however. I think Williams can outpoint him but that's about it.

 

So I guess the truth is unacceptable? Is that how it works? Marg is good I give him that but he is not a great fighters. Cotto was little overrated...I have always said that...and Marg still has leaky defense and he is still slow...

I must admit I'm impressed by his chin and stamina...that will take hime a long ways but I think he will lose to an excellent boxer...like Floyd because he will not be able to connect frequently...

He also doesnt fare well when he doesnt have the size advantage he took advantage of against Cotto...Hence his loss to Williams and Santos.

Just because you won't put a guys **** in your mouth doesn't mean you are a hater...:good

I stopped taking your post seriously when you said Cotto was a little bit overrated. He beat a lot of great champions. I also don't know were the **** in peoples mouths came out of. Give Margarito his props and don't hate like when I gave Cotto props when he beat Shane Mosley who is one of my favorites.
