I do not feel there is anything wrong with the comment. Its tough living in another guys shadow. Ask Larry Holmes
Eastern US and same belt. I get your point and was using Holmes as an example of how Cotto feels. Cotto is just trying to get outta Tito's shadow which he may never do now but certaintly had his chance to
Exactly. Just because their both Puerto Rican people think they're supposed to be like butt-buddies or something.
I think you are mistaken about the accent thing. JuanMa has a completely boricua accent. Tito's accent has a difinate dominican touch to his accent. Having dominicans in my family i noted early on and was not surprised to find out that Tito has a dominican grandmother (as do a lot of puertoricans).
Yep. Im Black/Native American/Jamaican but that doesn't mean I like all Blacks, Native Americans, and Jamaicans.
Apparently after the Margarito loss Cotto was going out constantly, getting pissed, getting into scrapes and going with other women. Pretty sure Tito came out and said that that's not the way a Puerto Rican should behave. May be wrong though.
Not saying he did but I've always questioned the faithfulness of male boxers to their wives especially when they're out partying after a huge victory.
Especially relatively young men, if you've had a few drinks on board and every slag in the bar is throwing themselves at you I'd imagine it would be pretty hard to resist.
