    Possibly,though Im not sure it would be a bigger fight to be honest;
Pac and Hatton both have huge fan bases and popularity, whereas Floyd needs to piggy back his opponents fanbases in major events.
ie Pac-Hatton is a double A side in popularity terms, whereas Floyd is a B side.
He does promote a fight well though, which perhaps balances this out.

Oscar II?! The confused Mexican/American would need a ****ing stretcher after fighting Floyd after last months performance.

    He's got three options:

1, Winner of Margi v Mosley.
2, Winner of Pac v Hatton.
    3, Rematch the bigshow.

    On paper yes,but Margarito isnt an option for him in reality;
He would sooner enter a leper colony than a ring with him however big that fight became.

Here are his options.... (Plenty of fights BTW)

    Williams
    Berto
    Clottey
    Cotto
    Cintron
    Margarito
    Mosley

Leave Pacquiao alone, And stay away from De La Hoya & Hatton
    (Been there done that!)

What's the thread about?-Read the title Miss Marple.

When he started the comeback rumours,i very much doubt he planned to wait another year whilst Hatton and Pac have their super fight before returning to face the winner;im sure he had designs to be facing one of those guys fairly soon himself.
That's not happening,so does he reluctantly sit it out for another year or face another guy instead? If the latter, who?

Its not THAT nebulous a thread question.

i just dont get the posts.....

like what floyd is doing is obvious... he's waiting for paq to hopefully beat hatton so they can match up.... or MAYBE if margarito beats shane & cotto and get some momentum maybe they can meet up....

    its simple as that....

    no tune ups
no other opponents (but if manny & marg lose maybe cotto or shane will get in the mix)

but outside fo who i just named there are no other opponents for floyd...

    Fair enough.
I asked a question and you have given me feedback, possibilities and opinions;as have others.
In your opinion he sits it out until a viable attractive opponent emerges.Reasonable.
The point of the thread was to hear what people think he has planned now that Pac is likely fighting Hatton.

lol i mean i understood the original intent of the thread..
i just didnt get the responses..

like the concept of floyd taking a warm up match is funny to me....
why waste momentum with a warm up match.. hell just do a bunch of sparring

    Understood.:good

The warm up stuff seems a non starter to me as well. His camp said so in fact.He wants a straight big fight return.

right... he's just going to sit around and wait for the biggest fight...he's taking a big gamble letting paq fight hatton first.... i guess he must think paqman is goign to win (shows how much he thinks of hatton lol) because he would make more money fighting paqman... but i guess if hatton wins they can do a rematch in the uk (OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG I JUST THOUGHT ABOUT THIS FOR THE FIRST TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!! IF THIS HAPPENS I WILL BE GOING TO THE UK WITH THE USA FLAG PAINTED ACROSS MY CHEST)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hahaha but yeah a hatton rematch is much more viable if hatton beats paq plus they can do it in the uk which throws a great twist to the plot... so i guess he's just waiting around for the winner of that fight more than likely

Yep,plenty of fights, but i think he would swerve most of those guys due them to being too small in recognition or simply far too big and dangerous(or both)
Its more his perspective than a fight fans im considering on this.
