Floyd has been a Jr.MW champion. Jr.MW or SWW is 154. Golovkin is fighting 6 pounds North in the next division.

Nothing at all. He needs to face the below welterweights if he wants to strengthen his legacy:

    3. Egidijus Kavaliauskas 9-0
    4. Viskhan Murzabekov 11-0
    5. Deniz Ilbay 13-0
    6. Przemyslaw Runowski 9-0
    7. Kerman Lejarraga 9-0
    8. ******k Tamrazyan 8-0

Floyd will gain nothing. For obvious reasons. GGG has nothing. If Floyd beat him at 154lbs, folks will say he drained him, and fighting him at 160lbs with very little to gain, damn sure wouldn't make any sense on Floyd part. So GGG should stick to what he knows, until he finally get an opponent with a solid name on his resume.

The fact is that Leonard was a lot closer to Hagler in size and weight than Mayweather is to GGG. Mayweather is by no means inferior to Ray Leonard, Leonard stayed more aggressive throughout his career but Mayweather is a lot smarter. Actually, I believe that Mayweather is not as aggressive as he once was because of his hands. In all of his fights he shows the ability to aggressively walk his opponents down but hurting his hands is always in the back of his mind and he needs two hands to keep an aggressive opponent at bay.

This flo_mo idiocy has got to stop. OK, so you don't want Floyd to fight GGG. Just don't use stupid reasoning to try and argue your point.

    The thread title is ridiculous.

Floyd gains more by fighting GGG a guy who "has proven nothing" than he did by fighting "proven" guys (according to floyd's jockstraps) like Ortiz, Guerrero, Maidana, etc.

Flo_mos have actually gotten dumber than pact_ards since Sinclair's victory over Pac.

If he was to beat Golovkin there wouldn't be as much as a smirk from over here the next time someone was to refer to Floyd as "TBE". Period.

thats how much power golovkin has over Mayweather we are not talking about a hard hitting ww here we are talking about a mw having freakish power

Yawn. Floyd beats GGG and they will start to say GGG is overrated. I'd rather watch Floyd fight cotto, and watch GGG get trashed by canelo.

Mayweather doesn't deserve to fight the winner of the cotto-canelo fight. Triple g is cotto's mandatory challenger. It's triple g who deserves the winner.

I'll be annoyed if Floyd steals triple g's opponents.
