I think hopkins wins the fight of course.....but I think Froch is more competitive then a Pavlik....and I think Froch is a better fighter then Pavlik....and Froch as a boxer is a bit underrated in the fundamentals department.......

The Taylor fight will only help The Cobra....I think he will make Hopkins come to him, instead of being the agressor like Pavlik tryed to be....hopefully froch can fight on the inside becasue that is Froch's best chance, hopkins has that great defense, but I see benard getting hit in the fight by jabs and right hands on the inside....

    Your Thoughts?

I think Froch probably would do better than Pavlick did,he would push Hopkins and try and force him to fight at a pace that dont suit a man his age.In the end though i think Hopkins better skills and expirence would win it for him on points.

i agree, i dont see froch gettin ko'd like some think....i think froch should make hopkins be the agressor, pavlik got picked apart by hopkins being the agressor.

I think the only chance Carl has is if age finally catches up with Hopkin's, the fact is he simply can not go forever and despite being English I wouldn't mind seeing him win as it's a great testament to his courage.

Hopkin's will for me win by a UD, can not see a situation where he will knock out Carl, he has an iron chin and recovers quick even when rocked. On the other foot I find it highly unlikely Froch can stop Bernard like he did Taylor but that was always his game plan (pile on the pressure later in the fight), can Froch be the first man to knock out Bernard? Again, I doubt it but like I said, age gets us all in the end and there's only so many times Hopkin's can visit the well again against the top guys in the sport. I want Froch to win but the only way I see that happening is if Hopkin's body can't go anymore.

i think this fight is going to happen....froch is trying to lure calzaghe, and so is hopkins for a re-match.....but i think calzaghe is done, but this is the purpose of this fight.

    If this fight happens...

By the time these two climb through the ropes it will be nearly a year since Nard has fought and he will be nearly 45 years old...sooner or later the years will catch up with him and the wheels will fall off pretty badly especially if froch can apply constant pressure and make Bernie work hard

Whatever the result Calzaghe nugs will claim Hopkins suddenly got old. Froch is massively strong and fairly creative in is attack methods. He can make it close.

Froch can win this, Hopkins cant keep going on forever, his age has to catch up with him. Froch has to keep up a high rate and wear old Hopkins down.

Work rate is the only way Carl can beat Hopkins ala Calzaghe.
Hopkins isnt actually a fantasic defensive fighter, hes a great statagist see the trinidad fight and he likes to lay traps but he has never won a fight while fighting on the defence (unlike say a mayweather). Carl would have to work every minute and thow fast shots in bunches.
Carl just might be a tad to slow off foot to make Hopkins work enough and hes far to easy to hit. I could see hopkins walking around like he did against Pavlik and throwing small hurtful clusters and secure a UD

Jeff, sorry to burst your bubble mate but Hopkins is one of the best, if not "the" best, in-fighters in the game.

Mid-range aggression is Froch's only chance, because he can't infight with Hopkins and he can't stand on the back foot or else Hopkins will eat him alive.

I don't think its a fight Froch can really win, unless Hop grows old overnight (been waiting for that for about ten years now)
