Froch would have to bring a gun to have a chance against Bute!!!

Ward knows it, which is the reason he refused to allow Bute to fight in his own tournament.............

Good point, this is it. Carl needs to be himself, the Cobra punches from very awkward angles. So that would be a problem for Lucy

I think he would do well to make Bute lead.

I think froch needs to keep his pressure on bute and box him like he boxed Abraham but also smother him and see how he copes with it. Froch has good footwork better than i realized but watching him stay with ward and track him and follow him around the ring well and constantly for the full fight showed me his legs are good. He's slow these days and him and bute both keep there hands low but froch's chin is the more proven and solid chin between the two. Bute wont stop froch and froch has a chin which he can leave out there and not have to really worry about being stopped with one blow. He can rush bute with a war of punches and see how bute copes but i don't think bute will react to it well and keep the same composure ward kept vs froch that said bute has a brilliant blueprint to follow in beating froch, ward wrote the script beautifully.

Froch must jab and do a little bit of boxing on the outside then just rush bute and war with him on the inside and pressure him all night and show the judges a lot of activity and aggression and it should work out for him on the cards plus its in the UK so we will rob that canadian boy bute on the cards if its close. Froch has the better footwork and use's his waist and ducks well and burst at opponents and takes them to the trenches. Bute doesn't have the pure boxing skills of ward to handle froch in the same manner bute is more messy and will try to just outbox bute but it will turn in to a brawl for most of the fight. Froch can very well win the fight, bute hasn't faced anyone on this level so its a test for him. Froch's mental side is tough and i like to see bute's reaction when he see's froch not giving him and froch is very experienced i expect him to have learned a lot vs ward i don't think bute will be as difficult now as maybe before the ward fight.

Froch will probably stop bute before the 12th.

    Quick Answer, remove his liver.

Unless Froch somehow gets lucky, i dont really see a way for him to win. Froch is a brawler and Bute's style is perfect for this.

come in with great cardio, push a hard pace and bang him up whenever he gets the chance, watch the first andrade fight and try to replicate and improve upon it, and knock him out about 20 seconds earlier than andrade did.

He has two option, turn it into an all out war or last all 12 and wait for the hometown decision. The way fights have been going lately, he has a chance for a decision.

    Right,I asked so time I made a contribution;
Carl's battle begins in camp. The way I see it,he only has three strengths that Bute doesn't match, only two really because Bute can match him for conditioning,it's just an asset that Froch is naturally superior in.
Chin and strength, and they won't be enough on the night.I also fear that although McCracken could come up with a solid plan to beat almost any fighter Carl will face (outwith Ward) the worry is always whether Carl will actually listen on the night.
There has to be solid sparring with a fast southpaw who can pump out the jab rapido.People talk about Bute's bodyshots, but the handspeed with the jab in particular,is the most eyecatching thing for me.It is absolutely essential that Carl keeps that left hand up to parry, even though such a tactic has been anathema to him in the past.
You have two guys who don't have a great inside game,so the likelihood is that both will be seeking distance. For me the key here is Froch not to go all out,and even though Bute is a far stiffer test than Abraham,Froch needs a surprising tactic like the way he came out in that fight. He MUST get a jab going.A brawling style will be meat and drink for Bute,so jab, feigns and finding angles are the key here.
Where I am confident,is Carl's ability to take a punch to land one,but this time he must land two or three and double up,even at the risk of fouling in the clinch.
I think he has to be cautious in the first couple, make Bute think hard and mix between using his old style infrequently along with the surprise of standing off.Total concentration is a must.Bute's jab is a fabulous scoring weapon and he must find a way to neutralise it.I'm not adding anything new here I know but he must keep that guard high and find the right angles. He's not the greatest when it comes to feigning but he must work on it.He also has to get dirty in the trenches to keep Bute busy and stop him getting the bodyshots off.
I know Bute is a disciplined fighter but I'm hoping Froch can bring out that Eastern Bloc machismo that's in Bute's DNA.Keep him working AND constantly thinking and he may be able to expose the possibilty that Bute cannot match him for stamina.
Total discipline and throwing Bute off by finding unusual angles are the things that Carl must work on.I know he's 35 but he needs to find some new aspects to his game here.
No point in trying to knock LB's concentration and forcing him to get into a brawl if he's not going to listen to Rob and get someone other than his own view of how the fight's going.(This has been a long standing problem)He must not play to the crowd.I hope all that time fighting away doesn't mean the home crowd gets him emotional.
There you have it,but it's all irrelevant because anyone who knows boxing knows Froch stops Bute inside a round or sooner.:deal:yep:good
