I'd be interested what you think McCracken will be telling him nearer the time mate. Problem is,will Carl take any notice on the night?:think
Froch needs to do something he has needed to do all along in his world title career. He needs to throw combinations, get an inside game, not step off when he has just hit someone and increase his workrate. When Froch lands a good punch he seems to admire his own work and step off, inside he just stands still instead of working. Watch Froch earlier in his career and he was much more active. Froch seems an old 34 and I felt was passed his best when he beat Pascal to win a world title. I think Froch could have beaten Kessler ig he had of stepped it up a bit, but after hurting Kessler in round 5 he started jabbing instead of going in throwing bombs. Sadly I dont think Froch can change. I did a thread on this ages ago. I think he only has one game plan and that has become known to other fighters. I would be worried about Froch against an active Steiglitz now
I know in the past you've been known to knock Froch Bailey, but I have to say I agree with a lot (not all) of your post. I fear it is too late in the day to incorporate the necessary changes(for this fight) into his game. I think he beats Steiglitz though.
Im a big Froch fan, but he can be the most infuriating fighter to follow. I dont know how long you have followed his career. I have from the beginning and just watch his fight with Adamu. Froch nearly blew a fight he could have won easily. Dont misunderstand as Im a big Froch fan, but like to keep it realistic. Like I dont dispute that Bute was lucky against Andrade or Ward against Boone
he needs to look to beat bute up and try and deplete bute's gas tank. abandon the boxer carl froch for this fight and make it a war. bute has only looked vulnerable in wars. let him sit back and box and you'll lose, unless you have the versatility of ward, and froch does not.
You know how both Froch and Bute can stick a combo in, then lower BOTH their hands down taunting/luring their opponent? Froch was doing it a lot against Abraham, Bute did it a couple times against Johnson (see end of round 1 for example). Calzaghe was doing that too. How comical that would be, both fighters with both their hands down letting bombs go. :bbb
