What does Golovkin fighting Mayweather do for his legacy? This fight is such a mismatch that it's a cherry pick for Golovkin and he'd deserve a ton of criticism. It's pretty much the equivalent to Mayweather-Marquez...

alex it would show Mayweather has balls it would improve his legacy golovkin has gone on record saying he could go down to 154 which i think will not a problem months out of fights he weighs around 165.

why does mayweather not fight golovkin at 154 then?

Because he's fighting a welterweight. Pacquiao is P4P #2 and also acquired a belt at 154, should he fight him too?

Fact is, and I like Golovkin, he has no business fighting welters. He should be looking at 160+.

Floyd is baby sitting that ****, he should vacate. Only reason you guys want him to face Golovkin is because he'll lose. Floyd loses to a lot of junior middles too.

Golovkin is not a jr middle, if he can make weight, he should be fighting there. You don't think he'll be drained at 154?

Because it's a mismatch in terms of size. Golovkin is a NATURAL middleweight. Big difference in the Oscar, Cotto, and Canelo that Floyd fought, not even natural JMWs. You accuse Floyd of ducking GGG, meanwhile GGG isn't offering to move up to 168 for big fights. Your agenda is clear.

An attempt to actually be the best ever, not just shouting it and let fans repeat it.

He fought Ceferino Garcia, in 1940. How do you know this guy was a "beast"? Garcia had 25 losses too, was he the best in the division?

Floyd doesn't even carry his power to 147, let alone 154. If he wants to take it then more power to him but IMO, it's a mismatch. I'd definitely watch it.
