What does Haye have to do to overtake Calzaghe's in terms of Legacy?

Diable what the **** ? I cannot believe that people pick holes in Hayes resume with sentences like these.............

Its easy to pick holes on any resume...people do it to Calzaghes non stop...dont cry when its also done to Haye with relative ease.

 

I'm hardly crying am I. I'm not even Haye's biggest fan either I just dont think you can use them particular words when picking holes in Hayes resume to defend Calzaghe's :good

The same class, admittedly the lower end of the same glass, but they wouldn't have looked out of place in the same ring.

Hopkins didn't fight many real middleweights. When he did fight them he did not impress. (Eastman, Mercado, Taylor).

Hopkins is better than Robin Reid, but you can be sure it goes down to the wire.

LHW Hopkins is awesome though, his facial structure seems to have altered over the last few years though...like Mosley's. Must be some kind of trait of good boxers, who suddenly improve in the twilight of their careers gaining strength and speed.

Haye's not far off for the following reasons: ambition, winning a unified title in so few fights, facing the genuine other belt holder for a further unification and becoming more or less undisputed (Cunningham became a valid IBF holder later, but at that time it was a vacant belt that Mormeck had dropped when facing O'Neill Bell in the rematch, if I recall correctly), winning a portion of the HW title and giving away 100lbs or something and nearly a foot in height.

Calzaghe relies, largely, on four wins: Eubank, Lacy, Kessler and Hopkins. Kessler and Hopkins are good wins given Kess' earlier performances an that he was the favourite, and Hopkins is good because of what he did right after.

Eubank is subjective, but he gave Carl Thompson absolute hell and was unlucky to lose the first fight.

Lacy is a context win. Joe exposed the hype train on Lacy, but also exposed how weak SMW was at the time, other than with Kessler kicking around. His next two defences show that clearly against Bika (who's actually proven to be pretty decent at SMW, despite losing to the best guys he faces) and Manfredo (who got trounced by Bika).

But Joe's longevity is what carries him so far, but if Haye can beat Ruiz and a Klitschko, he'll have surpassed him based on achievement and resume.

 

Probably just the one Klit and he;d be ahead in my eyes.

 

If Haye beats both Klitschkos, I would rate him as the best pound for pound fighter in the world and I am being serious. If he did end up beating both Klitschkos, he would be ahead of Calzaghe in terms of legacy without a doubt.
