I don't think anything he is doing now with Pascal or Dawson does anything either way to move him up or down with Joe. If Hopkins beats Dawson tonight it is because Dawson is not that good. Bernard is handpicking guys who are at the top of a very bad division. He could not have picked Roy Jones when he was young and beaten him at light heavyweight. The scores would have been 144-108 or 106

If Hopkins is above Calzaghe, and Joe and Gayweather is just a few notches in difference, does this mean that Hopkin's ranking is>>>>>> Gayweather and Calzaghe.

You stated Eubank had more title fights than Tarver therefore he was the better opponent:-

I disputed your logic by putting down the example of Duran and Joppy.

No one will deny that Hopkins UD12 Joppy is a better win than Joppy TKO3 Duran, even though Duran had more title fights.

Duran is levels ahead of Joppy, but we are looking at the versions beaten here. Tarver was more on top of the game than Eubank was.

Flip all that, Tarver was ranked P4P when BHop schooled him, was #1 LHW when BHop schooled him while Eubank wasnt a top 5 SMW at the point.

Whats your point, Tarver fought elite opposition prior to Hopkins, Eubank fought bums.

    Elite opposition > Bums

Calzaghe went from an elite opponent (collins) to a faded veteran (Eubank).

Eubank went from a bum (Prince) to a young lion (Calzaghe)

Eubank had the worse end of the stick out of the two.

Eubank was coming to an end and it is more difficult in this period to make weight, especially at 2 weeks notice.

Vitali went on to rule the division, he didnt lose all his remaining fights. Vitali always fought at HW, was comfortable at the weight, was knocking people out before and after his lose to Lewis.

Ur giving the lame example here man.

Tarver was undisputed LHW champ, beat the best to be where he was at the time. Balzsay aint undisputed champ, he didnt beat the best to be where he is.

Mayweather was better than the WBC champ Ortiz, dont twine and twist, u know Tarver was the man at LHW, but Eubank wasnt the man in the WBO ranks, Calzaghe and Collins were thats why they were scheduled to fight.

1000 years of boxing news said Calzaghe was favourite.

So you give no credit to Hopkins at MW since he was too big for them, and no credit to Hopkins between MW-CW since he is too big. When will you give the man his respect then?

That maybe for a several reasons, Thompson is easier than Calzaghe, and Eubank was more comfortable at CW than SMW, since most of his fights circa that period were above 170.

Tarver has a better post record than Eubank after them defeats in discussion, do you dispute that.

Mark Prince was ****, and is still considered ****. My point here is Tarver and Hopkins were preparing for one another. Eubank was preparing for Prince who is **** for no title, and Calzaghe was preparing for Collins for a title, who was a champ.

Fair enough. Calzaghe was caught hard just before the bell was a little dizzy.

I gave enough points to point that out, Tarver was in better form, showed himself to be still game by continuing to win and all the above.

I watched the RJJ MD12 Tarver fight, RJJ still had decent reflexes took a few decent shots and still had good speed in feet and hands. Today he just looks like he wants to make a quick buck.

I think wins over Johnson, Trinidad, and Pavlik (3(2)-0-0) is better than wins over Kessler and Lacy. (2(0)-0-0)

Lacy was a hypejob a notch below pavlik.

**** outta here and go and talk about peds with other *****s and *******s. You aint contributing **** to the discussion entitled.

What does Hopkins has to do to be ranked above Joe Calzaghe?

I think Tarver was the best available at the time and it was at a fair weight..

Ship is still boarding, Cleverly, Cloud, Shumenov, or SMW's Bute, Froch, Ward or CW's Huck, Lebedev, Erdei in the future are possible. IF Hopkins does what he says and fights on til 50 that is.
