You guys kill me. Yep just counter and hold calzaghe. Problem is
hopkins is no faster than the other guys that have tried to counter joe.
You CANNOT wait on a fighter as fast as joe. He will pepper you all night, and get in on you while your in defense mode. If slow ass taylor can get hopkins backing up, I know joe can easy. Bernards only chance in this fight is to mug calz and hope GBP paid the judges real good.
Because nard can't hurt, nor intimidate joe, and that was his key to victory. The only fighter that can beat joe is a lightheavyweight version of mayweather.

There's no comparision between counter-punching ability between Hopkins and Eubank, Sobot, Ferreyra, Reid, Thornberry, Starie, Sheika, Veit, McIntyre, Brewer, Jimenez, Pudwill, Mitchell, Mkrtchian, Salem, Ashira, Lacy, Bika and Manfredo altogether. Not even Kessler and Woodhall and they connected on Calzaghe. Calzaghe has no huge reach advantage or ( super-natural) jab speed to pepper Bernard like Wlad does to his shorter opponents and Sweat Pea to his. Taylor is not slow, he is much stronger and physically imposing than Calzaghe is. I hope you forgive me for not responding to the non-sense stuff about Calzaghe being mugged by Hops and judges being payed or that the only man that can beat him is the LHWT Mayweather version... But that's all good.

Exactly... he has to lure Calzaghe into throwing 1, 2, 3 and then counter him as he gets off balance...

I can't eliminate from my mind the nice counters a stiff like Kessler was able to land... and Kessler was not using any angles...

Also, Calzaghe is an arm puncher, Bernard should wrestle him inside, tire those arms a bit... Calzaghe's not used to that since he,s been fighting mostly Euros.

I think Bernard will hurt Calzaghe.

Teetop since when is Jermain Taylor SLOW??? People think to seem that Calzaghe is invincible and that Hopkins is going to be in AWE of Cals 1000000 punches a fight, that is NOT going to happen. Hopkins is undefeated against southpaws and has no problem facing them. This is the fight that makes Calzaghe look like ordinary Joe via Hopkins
