Damn even I'm a Hopkins fan, but he'd have to do all of the above and it's too bad he's not fighting Joe Calzaghe instead of Jones. I have a feeling Hopkins would of whooped him the second time around. A trilogy would of been nice. Beating Dawson, not necessarily Haye, but the Klits would make him top 5 and probably give SRR a run for his money for the number #1 spot.

Because Dawson is a natural light heavyweight unlike Calzaghe and Pavlik, and is viewed as the best fighter in the division.

Well, he already is one of the greatest ever...maybe top 65-70 p4p ATG. But to make that rise even higher, I guess KOing Jones and beating Chad Dawson would do him nicely. At this point in his career, there isn't a whole lot he could do to climb the ATG ladder.

Actually there is, he can beat David Haye at HW. How many places would he shoot up if he beat Haye? :think

Not very many as Haye is not an established great heavyweight yet and people would just call him a fraud if Hopkins beat him rather than give Hopkins the credit he'd deserve.

Yeah, i'm just answering the question posed by the original poster. But will anyone deny that Hopkins beating Haye would shoot him many places up the ATG list?

    He really didn't.

Calzaghe only beat RJJ in the ring, he ****ed Hopkins.

Hopkins is however already an ATG.

B-Hop, really did beat Calzage and Taylor. RJJ, really was the only guy to ever ever beat him.Hopkins IMO is easily top 10 p4p great. I think if he does all the above on the poll he will "push" for number #1 all-time great spot if not be number #1!
