i was sparring with a pro fighter once, (who went on to fight nadar "lionheart" hamdan for those who know he is) and i was pretty fit at the time, but i was told to really go gung ho on his ass. anyway despite being 15 he must have thought i needed to learn a bit o' respect basically he did a massive hook to my solar plexus, and the instant after i felt nothing so i continued to stalk him. but around 2-3 seconds later i felt this ****en awful crawling sensation in my stomach. it was like my midsection was trying to crawl into my spine. ****en awful feeling. i thought i hid it pretty well and continued to stalk my partner, but my coach laughed as he must have seen my face go slack lol i continued to walk him down despite the pain, but i certainly stopped through punches or anything with mustard on them! it can seriously **** you up bad in a way that isn't always obvious to the crowd like a headshot can produce EDIT: that massive bodyshot pavlik landed on taylor in the 11th round did the same kind of thing to me. like taylor (watch his face in slow mo replay), my face went all loose and i kinda plodded forward without any energy lol.
Never KO'ed. But I was out on my feet for 15-20 seconds, took 4 shots behind the ear and don't even know how I recovered. Didn't realy hurt at the time, but had a hell of a headache the rest of the night.
First everything's white, like a flash! You realize you've been hit in the left jaw just below the ears..then white turns to black, as you probably closed your eyes due to the impact..you open your eyes and see yourself still standing (all of this happens in a split second) you try to cover to avoid more punishment, but the ref breaks it and gives you a standing 8 count. Its all too quick that you dont feel it right away. After the fight, you win but your upper right part of the head is the one aching..thats the part i got confused. My brain must have recoiled!...It was from a roundhouse kick btw.:!:
I have never been knocked off my feet, but I have been buzzed once. I saw a white flash and then felt a sharp tingling in my feet. The punch was a left hook that landed on the back of my neck. Bodyshots are murder. What does it feel like? Well, its not so much the pain. Its the overwhelming feeling of panick and helplessness. I can also describe ko'ing someone. I was sparring a fighter from the gym. Shane Wells. I caught him on the button with a right uppercut. He fell down like a slinky, and lay there motionless. I was able to take off my gloves, headgear, and cup before he even began to move. When he finally woke up he had no idea where he was, or what had happened. Over the course of the next 20 minutes he asked Marshall and I the sames questions over and over again. He also could remember his girlfriends phone #. I wouldn't imagine there is any pain in getting ko'd. Your brain simply turns your body off.
