What does it say about Pavlik's heart when all the other MW/SMW are fighting but him?

hey guys. just wanted to give my 2 cents on the middleweight situation.

it seems all the big names in the middleweight/super middleweight division are willing to fight each other... except kelly pavlik. is he scared he might lose again a la hopkins?

i'm not going to call him a coward or anything, but let's just say he's more willing to fight against nobodies like mora or sturm than face the real challenges like kessler and abraham.

that's my story and i'm sticking to it.

    :good

    I don't care for Sturm.
But calling him a nobody is pretty damn ignorant.

U say U question Pavliks heart and he is not facing anybody, and should face someone like Mikkel Kessler?? But then again who the hell is Kessler? Where has he been? What fighters has he beaten? What Big names has he beaten? At least Pavlik beaten 2 big names In edison Miranda and Beaten Jermain Taylor 2x,Pavlik is a proven fighter....I think you need 2 question MIKKEL KESSLER heart not Pavlik, cuz KESSLER is the one more willing to fight bums {which his record is full of them} then fight the real Challenges .Pe@ce

whether or not you think kelly is ducking aa...the fight WOULD HAVE TO HAPPEN if aa fought and beat roman karmazin (which he would) thereby making him kelly's mandatory. this path has been available to aa for some time now, but it hasnt happened. if he wants pav as bad as he and his promoter say he does, then why hasnt this happened?? kelly's alleged fear of aa is irrelevant if aa becomes his mandatory.

"aa shouldnt have to go that route" isnt a valid response b/c it doesnt address the fact that this route is a fail safe, 100% sure fire way to get a fight w/ pav

Pavlik's recent resume pisses all over most other (S)MWs.

    Pavlik:
Miranda - no1. contender in the division, Pavlik fought him despite having been promised Taylor instead, and despite the fact that Miranda was widely predicted to beat Pavlik down.
Taylor - the MW champ, a P4P king at the time, coming off the back of victories against B-Hop and fights against the likes of Winky
Taylor II - CONTRACTUALLY OBLIGATED fight above the MW limit and out of Pavlik's comfort zone
Lockett - a MANDATORY (who, incidentally, had beaten off half the division and was undefeated in 14 fights).
Bernard Hopkins - a top P4P ranked, crafty veteran who was a stylistic nightmare for Pavlik as well as being two weights above him. If that fight didn't show Pavlik's gonads, I don't know what will.
    Rubio - a MANDATORY.

There is not one fight on that record where Pavlik chose to fight a tomato can.

    Compare that with:

Kessler - has had just TWO fights in over 18 months, both against bums whom he blasted out with the minimum of fuss.

Arthur Abraham - has not fought one top opponent in his career apart from Miranda, with his recent record graced by such chumps as the virtually unranked club fighter Lajuan Simon.

Bute - a decent record, though he only unconvincingly drifted past Andrade, and recently took on the shell of a man Pavlik ate for breakfast back in the day.

Carl Froch - you can't fault this man's courage, having taken on a much more experienced and talented fighter in his back yard, though the rest of his record is lined with hometown match-ups, and he won a title the sneaky way.

Pavlik's recent record can't really be faulted relative to these guys.

    --

You can't blame him for not fighting MORA, especially since he's just had another kid and needs some time to get his act together after the B-Hop loss.

If you actually wanted an answer to your question about Pavlik not fighting, I think you would have done a modicum of research. Pavlik is taking the summer off to spend time with his family, His wife recently gave birth to their first son.

Kessler? When did Kessler get loose from Palle? Answer, he hasn't.

Abraham? Sauerland has consistently treated negotiations like his man is the champ and the draw. Abraham is neither. Sauerland will NEVER let Kelly Pavlik anywhere near abraham, and he has NEVER had any intention of making the fight. Sauerland uses Pavlik's name to keep arthur in the news; period. You sure as **** couldn't keep AA's name in the news with Mahir Oral, LuJaun Simon, and Evlin Ayala. Raymond Joval would be a step up compared to those guys.

I'm quite sure these aren't the kind of answers you were looking for, but unlike 90% of the **** we hear about Pavlik, they happen to be true.

And by the way, what's with the comment "like Kessler and Abraham?" Kessler is a world class fighter. Abraham is a carefully crafted marketing gimmick. There is no comparison between the two.

Kelly Pavlik has shown plenty of heart in the ring. The real question is, are the rumors about his personal problems true or somewhat true? He had a great streak with Zertuche, Miranda, Taylor. While Hopkins would have beaten him anyway, Pavlik was mentally just not the same in that fight, unable to get punches off. That version of Pavlik would never have beaten Taylor, would be cannon fodder for Abraham and might get outboxed by Sturm. It was evident that his corner didn't have any answers, the prediction that Pavlik would knock Hopkins out was a stupid one to make and there was some serious denial afterwards. Is Pavlik's career not managed well anymore? Is it true, as some posters from Youngstown claim, that he indeed has a drinking problem? It seems strange that Team Pavlik is so quiet about everything, as if they want no media coverage. Why are there no interviews with the recognized Middleweight champion when rumors about a drinking problem float around? No statement on his website, not even a threat to sue the journalist who came up with the story?

Erm, who has Sturm or Abraham faced recently? Froch and Bute aren't fighting each other after all. Politics politics politics.
