kelly wants to fight, he just doesn't have much say in who and when he fights and therefore he doesn't really have all that much to do with it. like most of the other ****ed up scenarios in boxing its due to management not the fighter.

Oral has a 34% KO ratio against **** poor opposition. His previous 5 opponents had a collective 35 losses. Simon was coming off a fight with Jose Spearman. Light middleweight Bronco McKart beat Spearman at super middleweight, and Bronco was coming off a 2 year lay off. Ayala's big claim to fame was a draw with Mora. Pavlik almost left Top Rank over a proposed Mora fight, but Abraham made a defense against Ayala when Zuniga was the rightful mandatory. You can not draw international attention to your fighter with **** like this. However, Sauerland does do a great job of keeping Arthur's name in the international news by yapping about Kelly Pavlik.

You seem to want to trash Pavlik for losing to Hopkins. How does this show support for Abraham? Pavlik lost to an all time great at light heavyweight, a division in which Bernard Hopkins is the number 1 fighter in the world right now. Abraham has never even been in the ring with a world champion, let alone an all time great world champion. This is not something I would draw attention to if I were an AA supporter.

And, what point are you trying to make by bringing up the fact that KP's last fight wasn't on HBO? Arthur Abraham has NEVER been on HBO. Again, a point I would not draw attention to if I were an AA supporter.

Finally, you said "every idiot can see that Arum wants no part of Abraham." This much is true. Idiots do see it that way. However, smart fans who do thoughtful research, and follow the situation closely, see the truth. Sauerland just uses Pavlik name to keep Arthur's name in the international press.

What was the offer?
What venue did they Want?
What was the total Purse?
What was the purse split?
What was the proposed date?
What TV network agreed to buy they fight, and how much did they offer?

You cannot come up with these details because no legitimate offer was ever made.

 

all this arguing about promotional offers and tv rights is really reminscent about the pressure the fans put out to make the Kessler/Calzaghe fight, hopefully this will end just as well and the fight will be made with both fighters still at the top of their game.

I'm not having a go at Froch; he deserves credit for the risks he's taken and the sacrifices he's made in the name of making the best fights. But there's no denying the fact that he's yet to prove himself against the top SMWs out there.

Lockett had some decent ranked names on his record like Ryan Rhodes and 70% KO ratio when he stepped in the ring to fight Pavlik. Certainly, he was more of a credible contender than the cupcakes AA was gobbling up at the time, i.e. Ayala. In any case, as I pointed out, he was a MANDATORY.
