Klitschko would've lost money if he waited for Wlad. And he's a busy fighter. Why would you want the HW champ of the world to fight once a year just for one guy?

Yes your right. He just wants to fight a bunch of euro tomatos and not get hit. I emailed HBO and Showtime and told them not to bother with wlad klitschko anymore until he starts fighting someone thats going to hit him back. Who wants to watch him jab some tomato can all night. Chagaev just stood there and got his ass kicked. He didn't not even try to hit wlad. What a joke. Wlad Klitschko is bad for boxing.

They showed it on their available channel. Hell... I watch ESPN classic more than I watch ESPN or ESPN II.

Widdow is right on this, ESPN took the fight on short notice, so they're already obligated to show certain programming in their various stations.....
....they did however juggle the lineup and made room for it on their classic station which must be more flexible as far as their ability to juggle is concerned.....

.....in any regards, it seems like alot of people world wide tuned in to see the heavyweight showdown.....

.....reports over at fight news said this.....
"While HBO inexplicably opted out of showing the world heavyweight championship fight between Klitschko and Chagaev, ratings for the RTL telecast in Germany were through the roof. More than 11 million viewers tuned into the live telecast, generating a 58.4% market share. 61,000 spectators attended the fight in person at the Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen, Germany."

Imo HBO is doing Wladimir a disservice. Instead of hyping him, they keep spewing to the viewer of the poor quality of the Heavyweight division.

Wlad gets too defensive and timid in the ring at times, but love him or hate him, at least speak the truth about him........there is no one in the heavyweight divsion at the moment that can even carry the Klitchko bros' jock straps.....those bros. at the moment are far and away the best in the division.

The "Guy" who started this thread is a little insecure boy who is scared shitless of what Wlad represents to him. Why else be so obsessed and irrational? It's hysterical to watch him squirm like a snail with salt poured on it. Only a boy would have no understanding of how business works or make childish excuses for Wlad's wins. Let this little ***** squirm some more and more and more

From what I understand the networks are fine with Wladimir Klitschko as a concept, it's his actual performance that concern people given the circumstances. The huge oversized muscular jumpy nervous guy stuff makes a horrible impression on casual fans looking for the 'Heavyweight Champ' of boxing. They expect MUCH more.

Wladimir Klitschko is the best HW right now, and HBO and Showtime should've picked up the fight, how can you turn down a Ring Magazine HW Title fight? I think if Wladimir was American he would have a lot more exposure with the American networks. Wladimir did his part last night by dominating Chagaev and he's cleaning out the HW division, what else do you want from Wladimir?

More than 11 million viewers tuned into the live telecast, generating a 58.4% market share. 61,000 spectators attended the fight in person at the Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. ESPN Classic took the fight on very short notice because Haye backed out of the fight, did not prove an injury. HBO thinks Berto is an exciting fighter after Collazo beat the crap out of him. At least Showtime showed Vitali Vs. Peter fight, later HBO tried to get the fight back but could not. LOL! Home Buttocks Office = HBO.
