Taking current fighters at the top of their era, what would it take for them to become GOAT. I've done this in order of fights I think they need to win in order to establish themselves. Based on competition available and current career, I only came up with three fighters in recent times who could possibly lay claim to it.

    PBF
    Beating Pacquaio and Martinez

    Pacquaio
Beating PBF, JMM (in a decent fight) and Martinez/Alvarez in 2-3 years

    Fantasy Pick
    ODLH
Unretiring, rematch Mosley, win, beat Sergio Martinez, then rematch Floyd and Pacquaio, win both fights.

Having at least another 10 fight winning streak with those big names in it you mentioned, and then 50 years or more going by. Maybe then they will be considered the goat.

None of those fighters would reach GOAT status with just that. If Pacquiao beats Marquez, Mayweather, and Martinez, he most likely gets himsef into the top 10, but he'd still be left out of the top 5.

It would take an awful lot.

I mean if pac beat jmm, floyd and martinez (160) i'd happily call him goat.

If floyd beat ortiz, khan, pac and martinez I think the same could be said but it would be very debatable.

You're talking about competing with guys who beat the number 1 from lw to hw it's a big ask.

Considering floyd and pac's success at lower weights I think it could be done with them guys. Harder for floyd to achieve because pac would have been or beaten the number 1 at flyweight, featherweight, superfeatherweight, lightweight, lightwelterweight, welterweight, lightmiddleweight and middleweight.

Floyd would have superfeather, lightweight, lightwelter, welter, lightmiddle and middle.

However to make up for the difference in weights, floyd has been a better champion than pac so the win list I put out would do it for either imo.

Noone else today would come close apart from maybe jmm.

For floyd and Manny, THere's not the competition in the'r weight class to be GOAT. SO it would have to involve going up in weight.

For Floyd, I'd yay beating manny, then beating alvarez at 154 (As i think alvarez will go on to be a HOF)

    Then 160 and Beat Martinez.

I think that could potentially do it. Although still prob not Greatest ever.

For Manny, It would be beat floyd. (This will put him top 5 ever on its own) Then Beating Martinez and Alvarez i think would definetly get him to number 2, and arguably number 1

I don't believe that it is possible ever to surpass the best fighters. There's simply not enough competition today and fighters dont fight often enough.

The top GOAT's is pretty much set in stone.

beating martinez at this stage will be a big push for both pac and floyd, but not nearly enough to get either of them to be the GOAT imo.

Not really he has a point todays fighters dont fight enough to become goat unless they take on HOF and ATGs as soon as they have their pro debut
