I think it would be a close fight. I still think Whitaker would win though.

When has Mayweather showed inside fighting superiority over Whitaker? Has he ever bested a fighter as good as Julio Cesar Chavez on the inside?

How would you view whitaker v SRR at 135, now i know sugar only fought in and around the weight for about a year or so while green but he was still good enough to beat agnott, in the 1st fight i think the limit was a pound over lightweight. Second fight i think was at welter so can't use that as an example.

So how would pea get on with the version of robinson who beat agnott 1st time. For me a very intriguing fight, pea would have the better defence of course, higher output and prime pea from the weight would be more experienced than robinson

Robinson would have a reach advantage which in my opininon could allow him to negate pernell fantastic jab with his own superb jab, robinson put combinations together better though pea was very good at that himself and of course robinsons power was on a diffrent league.

I'd slightly side with the young robinson by SD

I also do slightly side with duran against pea prime for prime at 135

Did you see the way Joe beat that ass when Whitaker layed a hand on him in the CHavez fight? He made Whitaker his *****. Joe Cortez is fair and firm and don't take no **** from no one!

I honestly can't imagine the young, green Robinson beating a prime Whitaker at 135, even if he did give Angott a thorough beating. Angott was a dirty in-fighter, but one who's style played into Robinson's hands because he was there to be hit, and he couldn't overpower to naturally bigger Robinson. I don't know how the younger Robinson would've dealt with Pea's slickness and out-boxing skills. Robinson did have the bigger reach, but was also a very compact puncher, even with his jab, so he'd not be able to outjab Whitaker from a distance, especially considering how great Whitaker's southpaw jab really was. A very versatile jab as well.

At 147 I choose Robinson over Pea, but I can't say the same at 135.

Floyd was hit more in two fights with Jose Luis Castillo than Whitaker was hit in two fights with Ramirez and one fight with Chavez combined.

Whitaker was NEVER outlanded by a good margin the way Floyd was against Castillo.
