The thing is, our halves are still yet to find their groove.

Sandow's still very green and has played less than 50 NRL games. Come the midway mark of the season he'll be a better player and more half savvy.

The biggest thing about this year is not Sam Burgess and Dave Taylor, it's been the improvements of the guys who we already had.

Champion's defence has been great this year. He owned Rogers in round 2, and has had 2 great games since. He's always beeen able to run a good line in attack, but his technique and reading of plays in defence have really kicked on this season.

Geddes has been tremendous off the bench this year, and is playing like a man possessed. Most forwards dont really peak until their late 20's, and this guy did have 2 knee reconstructions earlier on. I really hope he can see out his career with Souths.

Lowe has improved heaps, and he seems to be everywhere in defence. He's our very own Dallas Johnston with his workrate, and I wouldnt be surprised if he gets an Origin call up in the next 2 years.

McPherson has also improved, but still has jelly hands at times.

It's the first time in 20 years where Souths have had an experienced 1st grade coach, and it's showing on almost everyone.

No generally speaking as you know Ash, most 'quality' threads on here end up not being debated or discussed properly as the Aussie scene is fixated on discussing 'No Lips' Danny Green vs Anthony 'Pioneer in my own lunchtime' Mundine and their trials and tribulations.

Mundine vs Green and the stupid posts from both sides are worse the Garza strip.

Actually no, it ends up like a soap opera, so I suppose it could be eligible for a Logie!

I'm bit green to the Oz boxing scene but I train at same place as Sol who is fighting Ben Rabah. So you reckon he no chance?
