What does Joe Calzaghe have to do before the end of his career to get to the HOF?

Assuming that he'll be fighting Roy Jones in his next fight which is pretty meaningless in the grand scheme of things now, what else does Joe need to do to secure a place in the Hall of Fame?

Personally, I'd like to see a winner of Tarver vs Dawson fight Calzaghe for his last fight. If JC wins that one then he can lay claim to have been the absolute best in two weight divisions.

he's already in, but to cement his legacy he should beat pavlik, jones, tarver and miranda/taylor.

2 legends, and 2 up and comers.

Nothing ... 20 + defense and two linear titles are enough ... he's got an undefeated reign spaning 15 years --

4 world titles ... an undisputed championship and 6 former world champions on his resume

Out of all the genuine world champions in two weight divisions there have ever been, I think Calzaghe is one of those at the bottom of the barrel.

His legacy is secure ... he doesn't need to fight anyone to secure anything. He already has paid his dues being world champion for over 10 yrs, and becoming undisputed champion last year. He's by far the best super middleweight ever and has an undefeated record, he's fought in the states - and beat Hopkins. He can walk away being the best of the best when the talks of super middleweights.

I personally think he's a lock to get in.

And this is coming from someone who is not exactly overwhelmed by his resume. It's good but not great. What is great about his resume is the longevity and number of defenses.

If Calzaghe had been pitted against better competition and even lost one or two and regained his title there wouldn't be any where near the complaints. Fans and unfortunately some fighters are obsessed with undefeated records.

I think he's a first ballot just based on his record at this point.

Geesh, I picked BHOP to win, I personally think he doged some fights in the past, but he's a HOFer with ATG hopes still:nut

Calzaghe is an ATG ... when you think of SMW ... you have to mention Calzaghe as the best there is.
