LMFAO. *******s never amaze me. Just like Hatton was better after Mayweather. Just like Mosley got younger and faster after Mayweather. Just like DLH got better after Mayweather. Just like JMM has gotten better after Mayweather. Ortiz is next? Everyone's stock goes up before fighting Pacroid.

This is a new low. Pac's stock goes up by a guy who he fought YEARS ago. Morales was fighting a nobody, for a worthless WBC title.

Pablo Cesar Cano, the world beater? Let's keep a sense of perspective. Erik Morales defeated a very young fighter who hasn't been in with anyone of any real quality to date. He showed some good rights hands, and his toughness was to be admired, but this win doesn't really do anything for Morales career in my estimation. Erik Morales is well past his best, and should now be considered the definitive "paper champion" in World Boxing. A loss would have been a blessing in disguise as now I can see the likes of Amir Khan and Timothy Bradley wanting a piece of the aging Mexican. Morales obviously has no chance at all of beating the likes of those names and could very well end up getting hurt, and all because he was handed a title by the WBC.

Before the fight, I considered both Marco Antonio Barrera and Erik Morales to be on even terms when it came to evaluating their legacies and all-time status. A scrappy victory over an inexperianced, 21 year old novice in Pablo Cano does little to change that in my mind.
