He's got a ridiculous amount of backing from some American hedge funds so reckon he can go a bit longer, will be interesting how the top rank/GBP lawsuits go as the Muhammad Ali act looks like it's being broken here IMO as everyone knows haymon is the defacto promoter as well as manager

If it comes to the UK I can imagine not much would change on the Sky from because of their contract (Haymon/Sky fighters may have to fight on other channels however).

Frank would have to make a decision whether or not he wanted to produce/hold PBC cards on Boxnation (which actually would make sense from a financial standpoint) or take the Sky route and go it alone.

As for the rest- BT, Channel 5 and ITV would jump at the opportunity of time buys (if the fights were half decent) as may the BBC if they are allowed to take Haymon's money.

Away from TV it would mean that fights that couldn't be made before because of promotional difficulties. It will be interesting to see how low the standard of fights would go- would a British lightweight title fight be that lucrative for a terrestrial station to screen for example.

I'd like to see the PBC over here as things seem to be getting a tad stagnant especially as Matchroom have something like 80% of the top talent in the country. Interesting times ahead.

In all honesty how?? Sponsor money won't be that much, they practically have to give away tickets to most cards never mind putting guys in the wrong markets eg Frampton in texas instead of somewhere like Boston or NYC, least he did well to keep fonfara in Chicago and Stevenson in Canada (but he doesn't sell that well there)

From a business point of view, this is brilliant stuff from Haymon et al. but not exactly novel. Again, like Chavez points out, PBC borrows heavily from the UFC model which became a successful money-making machine while staging best vs best encounters. If PBC becomes a boxing monopoly or something close to it, Haymon would have an incentive to stage more competitive fights than mismatches, since fans will usually tune in for the former and shun the latter,*with PBC/Haymon*retaining*the upside regardless of the fightsÂ’ outcome.*This would include*the chance to profit from an increasing number of revenue streams: not only the gate of live events and eventually licensing distribution fees, but also merchandising, spin-off programming, international deals, and even a cut from fightersÂ’ sponsorship deals.

Why do people think pbc will be gone soon . Most business lose money in the 1st year or 2. You have to spend money to make money in business. So obviously he will need to loose hundreds of millions to make hundreds more millions. It an investment.I think al knows what he is doing
