B Hop is coming off a Loss, not even a good loss a bunch of holding and grabbing. That fight with Joe looked like a senior prom with all that holding and dancing. Kelly has nothing to gain really by beating him. If he losses then he loss to a 43 y/o B hop, If he wins he beat a 43 y/o b hop. Lose Lose situation. He would've been better off taking the Winky fight!

    What do u think??

Pavlik will make a lot of money, which he will likely lose in the ensuing elder-abuse lawsuit.

If he loses he loses to a legend ! Stop disrespecting the man by calling him a senior !

Some felt that Hopkins beat Clazaghe!!!! Amazing. Whomever KO's Hopinks old school style with his fists will earn some bones with that hard core fight crowd. I think that, and a lot of money is what Pavlik has to gain.

Hops is older but still a tough, schooled, vet.

Deserves top 20 pfp and some say top 10.

Pavlik gains his biggest or second biggest win.

Big $ and becomes more well known with the general sports population.

A win over Hops is nothing to sneeze at.

Top Rank is just looking to grow the Pavlik brand with a win over the name Hopkins - if that happens.

He could gain a match against Calzaghe.

I see hopkins taking this by late stoppage,,,,palvik best victory was against taylor who did not fight with heart in either fight, his own trainer quit, i got to say that hopkins will be as game as you can get, an he taking no chances, he dosn't wan't a rematch with joe, he wants this overhyped white-hype for a send off,,,,smart move on hopkins side,,,,,an what the hell are they thinking in youngstown, there got to be another lockett out there

he gains more credit than he did for fighting Gary Lockett, and more than he would fighting Winky Wright, Sergio Mora, or Paul Williams

He also gains invaluable experience against one of the smartest boxers in the world.

Pavlik won the title from the champion installed by the partnership of Lou DiBella and Hollywood Boxing Office...to beat Hopkins is to be beat the rightful champion...a legend, a champion, and the accomplishment would be Kelly's most impressive conquests should he be victorious,,,

experience. though i think this is a no win situation for pavlik as well. if pavlik wins easy, he beat an old man. if pavlik struggles, he's garbage.

I get what everyone is saying but I just feel that If he wins, then everyone will just say, This was an old Bhop and that he couldn't beat him in his prime. I just don't want the age difference and the fact that he is coming off a loss be more of the discussion.

Don't get me wrong, I like b hop but as of late all of his fights are less exciting than any fight on Wednesday Night Fights. He holds a lot as of late and doesn't throw to many punches. This would be a fight that I believe B Hop could win with his counter punches, but we will see.

I don't get your reasoning. Who has beaten Hopkins easy recently and who hasn't struggled against him? If Pavlik wins clearly, it should be a great accomplishment for a young fighter.
