What does Schaefer actually know about boxing?

    I keep reading all this stuff from Shaefer about who's gonna knock who out and who's gonna make it and who's not, but what does this guy actally know about the sport of boxing? The only reason he is involved at GBP is because he's a good businessman.

    Not much, he didn't even know Teddy Atlas was a trainer and that he trained Tyson.

    I have a question, is he the actual head of GBP? when the promotions were listed awhile back with its top figurehead or whatever, his name was listed, not oscars.

    Is oscar just a puppet for the company and its not really his at all? anyone know?

    Yea, i think when Mayweather was spouting ****, he was actually telling the truth, Oscars just the face of the company, and Richard Schaefer, the swiss banker, is the brains behind the outfit.

    Oscar was the chief financier behind the company, he hired Schaffer to run the actual company with him being primarily a publicity handler(giving interviews, going to press conferences, writing his blog, etc.) Oscar is the financial muscle and Richard is the brains.

    DLH offers his name (GBP), and obviously he backs the promotions with his money.......

    Shaefer happens to be the brain of the whole operation.


    Obviously, DLH needed and needs a brain like Shaefer, to get his promotion co. off the ground, and now to keep it running smoothly.

    most promoters don't know **** about boxing. They spew crap and hype to make more money for their fighters.
