I thought Shane won the Cotto fight. Based on how far Shane's skills have clearly fallen, had he met Cotto at his peak it would have been a Shane victory going away. Shane has lost speed, reflexes and activity level, and it's not likely that all happened in one night yesterday.

Cotto's people were smart to pick Shane when they did.

Mosley is far from what he was at his prime at welter. Cottos victory is about average, if the fight was that close imagine how different it would be if sugar was in his prime.

Nothing. It told me that Shane lost to Cotto only because he was old, and that Shane last night fought a taylor made opponent...and fought well for a 37 year old guy.

It told me that the SSM that beat DLH in 2000 would have knocked Cotto the **** in 6 rds. Seriously barely getting by a 36 yr old WW does not inspire confidence. I always said he beat a worn out SSM, but everyone says that SSM isn't shot, after last night, it's clear he isn't half the fighter he was at his peak.

At trying to discredit Cotto's victory.

He turned in a good performance that night. It doesn't mean anything.

I was impressed with Cotto's victory over Shane and I'm still impressed.

Is Mayo a great fighter? Hell no! But he was a big 170lb, tough, awkward ******* that appeared very determined.

Shane is just too old to look great against a fighter like that anymore.

Still a great victory for Cotto, I said during the fight "****, Mosley looked great for a 36 year old."

Going into the Cotto fight, Shane not only was past prime but had some serious ring rust. Cotto did nice early in that fight but once Sugar started getting his timing going and was putting his punches together, Cotto started running. I gave it to Cotto but, to me he looked exposed.

What do you think of Cotto giving Mosley a rematch before facing Margo again?
