well hopefully Collazo can EARN his next #1 ranking next time, because all he did to get the shot at Berto was ***** to the WBC about not being #1

completely agree with the post at the bottom of page 1

by taking rounds 6,7 and 8 off Luis kinda coughed the fight up.

so yeah "one round doesn't decide the fight" (in regards to Berto winning the last round)

but if you count the rounds Berto had won, the 2nd 5th + 6, 7, and 8 imo

then I would think the last 2 rounds would count pretty big, don't ya think?

I think Berto will give him a rematch if Berto feels he can do better.

Truth is you can make a case that Collazo has only lost to Mosley I mean that is the way I look at his record in my eyes, and in the mosley fight he broke his hand who knows what the out come would be had that not happend.

Collazo is a good fighter, I would say A- level, not a B level fighter but an A- level, he can more than likely take a title on any given day, infact watching him last night I thought to myself he would give Margarito a good run for his money, then Berto started scoring good body shots, and there goes the idea of giving Tony a good run for his money.

I think Collazo is vastly under rated though i think the credit he has gotten from the fans here at ESB is amazing, I mean after all he did put on a good fight, infact I cant tell you when he hasnt put up a good fight, anyhow he isnt the future of the WW divison nor the sport by a long shot but Lou is one of those guys if you fall asleep on him he will take your title.

True true. But I feel becuase of the high risk, low reward that he brings to any fighter, he will be avoided.

    1. so what, close loses don't count? sorry but a loss is a loss, yeah he mucked up Hatton's face, but he lost more rounds and got out pointed

    2. A- level? i dunno about that, I think your over rating Collazo a bit. and he hasn't proven he can win a title since beating Rivera. keep in mind he's 2-3 in title fights at the moment and I don't think he has the power to keep Margarito honest. between how you rate Collazo, and thinking he can give Marg a run for his money i think your giving Luis too much credit.

he did put on a good and entertaining fight, I'll go that far with it. but when it came down to crunch time vs Berto (like rounds 11 and 12) Luis blew it. he coughed the rounds up and lost by a point on 2 scorecards.

There is no excuse for crooked judges, period. Collazo won that fight and should get a rematch. Berto will get knocked out by Margarito, Cotto, Mosely, Williams and others. Mayweather would knock him out with a long lay-off. The criminal judges could not save him then. Fans are not stupid, they know who won that fight.
