What does the referee do if a boxer gets hit in the neck?

    Retirement was the last thing he was dreaming about which is part of his problem.

    Either way I think there was some neck involved in the KO punch from what I remember.

    Watched it live.

    Of course it's a great ko, one of the best one punch knockouts ever. The neck doesn't take away from that.

    Was going to say ask Duane Bobick but was beaten to it.

    Also, Genaro against Azumah was stopped and resumed action after a throat punch I believe. Genaro was a tough and brave dude.

    Maybe I should have re phrased. I’ve seen people get hit to the neck but I’ve never seen the referee do something about it despite me having read on multiple sites it’s a foul.

    I seem to recollect reading same - but could it have been for UFC, I’m not sure?
