For those that don't know, Braun is a professional baseball player that was recently suspended for his involvement with Miami based, reputed PED dealer Tony Bosch. Braun's admission of guilt and subsequest suspenion validates Bosch's claims of supplying PEDs for various athletes. Yuriorkis Gamboa is one of those athletes that frequented Bosh's clinic. Bosch had a handwritten ledger that outlined Gamboa's PED regimen. The defense that some have given for Gamboa is that Bosch was simply lying about Gamboa to recruit clients. With this new information though, it begs the question as to why exactly would Bosch lie about giving PEDs to Gamboa to gain clients when he was actually giving PEDs to the reigning N.L MVP? It seems pretty obvious to me that Gamboa is a juicer. Sadly, he will probably get away with it. The writers, the networks, and the fans will probably ignore his transgressions and he will continue to juice. Boxing really needs a central authority.
It means nothing. He was not caught so no repercussions will happen. If I was a Gamboa opponent I would request testing from here on out though.
If it was UFC maybe where there is one governing body that controls its sport with a universal commissioner MLB is a unified sport that can enforce its own rules boxing is way too fractured without a governing body or single law of the land
This is true. However, shouldn't the writers and the netorks do something? Jim Lapmley should at least cover this topic on his next show. If people stand up say something, it can force the higer ups into action. Hell, there was plenty of progress made in the aftermath of the Mayweather/Pacquiao situation. A stink needs to be made about this in order to bring about further change.
It shows that he's probably not clean, but nothing will happen because boxing isn't an organized sport (like already mentioned).
Bosch's office has already been raided and all of his clients have been outed. The high likelyhood is that Mayweather's name would've already surfaced if he used Bosch.
