god according to MichiganWarrior, jake lamotta has been floored god knows how many times vs ray robinson.
U can reason with some ppl. This is the dude that thinks kotelnik lost the fight against Alexander. And who thinks that floyd is not a chicken and not running away from PAC?
This is stupid. There is a floor. The idea is to hit someone so hard, they hit that floor. When it happens, we say "he got floored". WTF is the michiganretard babblin about. Just for your reference, here is the term "floored" being used in a boxing article: If you recall correctly, JMM did actually touch the floor.
I think you are definitely using the word floored in the wrong way. Although I wouldn't know how Americans would apply it to describe something to be honest. I've never heard a boxing commentator use the word floored to describe someone being stunned.
Michigan Michigan; to "pull a michigan" 1. To say something stupid. 2. To not admit fault. 3. To judge events without having ever seen them. i.e. "i dont know enough about the pascal-pittman fight, i aint gonna pull a michigan"
seriously man, as a boxing fan, you have to know that in boxing, the term will always be used literally and never figuratively. if people used it both ways, then it would fail as a boxing term because you can never tell if being floored meant someone was knocked down or just stunned. every time someone says "floored" in boxing, you'd actually have to confirm "do you mean he was stunned or knocked down?".
