What does the victory of Pavlik yesterday means?

This fight would have only meant something if one of two things happened.

    1) Kelly smashed Espino in one or two rounds with a ferciousity we haven't seen since the first Taylor fight.
    2) Espino won and made Pavlik look like the loser his harshest critics claim.

If the way it broke means somethings, it means Kelly still needs to fight a serious challenge.

He got a guy willing to go to war with him. Not at all like your boyfriend Mundane, but hey, keep pushing for him, your Aussie hero.

We both know Mundine would beat Espino.....it was a poor pick from team Pav.

So why wont Pav agree to fight Mundine?

He will get paid 5 times what he got yesterday and will be better prepared for PW:deal

    I agree.

This victory hardly proved tha the man is "great." But that doesn't mean hs is average either. Its a false dicotomy.

He's a good fighter and he is ready to go. Hopefully he keeps getting better.

It means Pavlik can still fight, and needs to someone else other than a mexican

As I have said before, I don't care how big your island is, it is still an island when it comes to the boxing mentality. I feel Mundine got his current MW title 'gifted' to him. He clearly did not do enough to 'take' the title. He is nothing special. Aussie boxing is only the center of YOUR universe.

Means he's healthy enough to step it up for his next fight.

Pretty much. He admits he was wrong about ring rust and he had some.

Nothing. I hope he fights worthy competition because Pavlik is still capable of revitalizing his career but he has to want it.

It does not make Pavlik any greater, all it means is he got some work in and his hand held up. He is on the forward movement now to sign fights and fight. Let's see if Williams fights him.

Why are people so harsh on Pavlik? :huh

The Espino win simply shows he's in the mix and active; nobody seriously argues that this enhances him in any way.

He manned up and called PW out at the end.
