Honestly Pacquiao looked like a "slow plodder" in there. Canelo was more of a boxer and better at it.
I was thinking more of guy's like Chavez,Castillo,Hoya, C.Hernandez,Cotto ect..

What made Madaina so successful, is that he didn't give a F*CK about Foyd's offense, and he out fought him for periods using volume, pressure and aggression. Those are the exact same tactics that should have implemented for Manny. Yet instead, he had Manny trying to outbox him from distance. Bizarre!

    Styles make fights.

Manny may make Maidana look ordinary. But Maidana would always have more success against Floyd. Because he'll commit to things that Manny won't commit to. He has drive, and is relentlessly aggressive at all times. Maidana DIDN'T let Floyd hold a central position in the ring. You would never see him stop throwing and then step back like what Manny did in the third. You simply can't use a strategy where you're trying to outbox Floyd. It won't work. You have to use aggression, volume, and pressure, and make Floyd uncomfortable, whilst impressing the judges.

You got to have great stamina to go all out at Floyd like a Maidana, Augustus, Chavez, Castillo. If you get tired Floyd will then be able to tee off on you like Oscar, Hatton, N'dou, Judah

Alexander-Maidana looked like FM-MM II, I think to neutralize a guy like Maidana you have to clinch to slow him down otherwise your in for a tough time. Alexander doesn't mind mucking up a fight.

nothing man, first fight the referee let them work on the inside
the second fight maywearther ran and held 70 times, the referee broke it up and never warned mayweather for blatant holding.

Maidana did better because He had a 17lb weight advantage and Floyd tried to stay and fight. Mayweather boxed more in the second fight and won easily

You dont know anything about boxing. Schooling is like FMJ vs. JMM, FMJ vs. Gatti, FMJ vs. Diego.. Nothing like that happened in this fight.

maidana fought as an underdog trying to make history for a win and just fought without care since he got a high pay anyway. he made a better performance even though less skilled than pac because of aggressive fighting. pac was too cautious against floyd.

It's a tale of two fights really. The first Maidana fight, Mayweather allowed Maidana to get him against the ropes &to get set(or you can credit maidana for cornering him).

From there he tried to shoulder roll, deflect shots (as he's done frequently in past fights) the problem is that Maidana has a very tricky chopping overhand right, that I thought would(& did ) get through mayweathers defense, just like it got Broner when he was flatfooted.

In the second fight (like the pacquiao fight) mayweather used more lateral movement, & sure there was a time he was caught early (also like with manny) but he built up enough of a lead in the early rounds, that by the time of the later rounds(when mayweather typically get's his opponent's timing & range down) it was too late for either Pac or Maidana, unfortunately for them.

Maidana was willing to get beaten up to land shots, and wasn't fazed by Floyd's power. He is also much more physicalky imposing than Pacquiao if we want to compare success against the ropes

It means nothing as far as how we rate Maidana as a fighter. Styles make fights. If Maidana and Pacquiao fought tomorrow, Maidana would need reconstructive surgery for his face after the fight.

Maidana also knows how to cut off a ring, something that Roach apparently never bothered to teach Pacquiao
