So he beats AJ and retires.. Is that enough? Who does he replace? Who would he replace that is already in the disputed top 10?

Is his victory over on 'old' Klit, and his trilogy with Wilder enough to break into the top 10?

*What has he go to do to get there?

    *Is he even good enough?

*Ones opponents dictate how good you are. Has Fury had enough 'worthy' opponents (Like Ali did) to promote him to ATG status?

*Has Fury ruled in a talent poor period?

*Can you boot 2 out of this group to find room for Fury?

    Ali
    Holyfield
    Lennox
    Holmes
    Louis
    Wlad
    Marciano
    Johnson
    Frazier
    Tyson
    Foreman

Fury just needs to keep doing what he is doing when it’s all said and done I believe he will have wins over Usyk, Joyce and AJ

In the eyes of BF24's moral consensus? Nothing.

With victories over Usyk and Joyce, though, his position among the ten greatest ever heavies would be widely acknowledged in the years to come. Joshua represents icing on the cake, at this point.

Does that get him there? (they were the 3 i was thinking of.) But who does he replace from the top 10? Jack Johnson? Vlad?

Yes, Usyk, Joshua, Joyce, Zhang, Ruiz, Hunter all stylistic threats who he can't have his way with.

If Usyk is as good as everyone on here says he is, then Fury beating him would surely cement him as a top 10 HW.

Ali had a Sonny Liston AND a George Foreman. He beat everyone in his era of great heavies. Jack Johnson perhaps just because of the colour bar, and cleaned up his division. Historically he was significant. Iron Mike because of his early prowess in murdering everyone. Etc, etc. But who is Furys Liston and Foreman? Wilder perhaps, but is he enough?

Unifying will add a lot. It hasn't been done in over 20 years. He probably squeaks into the top 10 if he can unify, and then make a defense or two as undisputed.

In an era when British heavyweights dominate on the world stage, Fury HAS to defeat all of the Best brits to lay any claim to being amongst the ATGs. Because as of right now, he isnt in that conversation.

At this point Joshua isn't enough. He MUST beat Usyk. Joshua after would put the exclamation point.

Usually, when you unseat an ATG, you don't have to do a lot after that. But Wlad was 40, and Fury...well...didn't do a lot after that, except get bogged down in a fued with a deeply flawed Wilder, who himself has question marks.

Had he taken on and beaten Wilder in the return in December of 2021, then he could have segued right to Joshua, and, having won that, been able to claim that he had cleaned out his generation. Now, if he misses Usyk, he misses the best heavy he shared an era with (considering, again, Wlad's age).

MUST beat Usyk with Joshua as a follow-up.

I get your point, but these things are subjective.

Neither Wlad nor Holmes really dominated the era...Wladdy obviously not fighting his brother, and Holmes declining to unifying, and openly turning down fights offered by Coetzee, Thomas and Page. So despite their very long reigns, again, if Fury becomes UNDISPUTED with a few more good wins, you can see it that way.

Holyfield's success was due to taking HGH in and era when testing was in its infancy. He does not make my top ten, despite a stellar resume. Also, the losses hurt.
