What does Tyson Fury need to do to beat Oleksandr Usyk?

First comment nails it. Fury looked knackered half way. Whether he can improve on that, I’m not so sure.

 

What he needed to do before the first Usyk fight was get rid of his numbskull trainer, lose more fat and not take that circus fight where he got concussed months before the biggest fight of his career.

What he needed to do after getting concussed yet again, is take at least a year off to heal his brain, get rid of the numbskull trainer and lose fat.

Since none of these things happened or will happen, it doesn't look good for him. He probably can't take the damage Usyk will hand out again and there's a good chance of getting stopped for the first time in his career.

But due to his ability, experience and determination, he can still win. Basically I think he needs to just fight on instinct and experience now and not listen to any of his team, which are a bunch of utter imbeciles, possibly the worst team ever put together for a top fighter. It's incredible how bad of an influence they actually are.

 

1) Get John Fury out of his corner
2) Work harder on cardio
3) Ditch the clown showman / jester theatrics and get to work keeping Usyk at distance with the jab, even if it's just touching / pawing
4) Vary body shots and uppercuts sparingly to keep Usyk guessing, don't get too 'samey'
5) Follow up ANY success with a body attack to try and deplete Usyk's tank as much as possible

Fight as dirty as he can get away with, including low blows. Otherwise, can’t see him winning via acceptably legitimate means.

Unfortunately for him, Usyk is unpredictable in the sense that Fury remains the dog and he gotta attack but whatever plan he has Usyk has always a plan to tilt it.

 

1.Get better at boxing.
2.Do a sit up.
3.Put the bottle down.
