Fury fought a great fight and came into the fight in the best shape we’ve seen him in years. He fought smart, used the uppercut nicely early and tried to impose his size. Usyk is just better.

Two smart fighters in that ring tonight, one was just smarter and tougher. Fury connected with some great shots but I think the steady diet of Usyk body shots were really bothering as was the straight left hands to the head. Usyk was always balanced and always in position to defend even after throwing his big punches. He couldn’t miss with that left in the later rounds and Fury was bothered by that bloody nose. I give Fury and his fans **** once in a while but it takes two great fighters to give the fans a great fight. Fury showed lack of class at the end but he’s a fighter and is not the first to do so. Thank God the judges and ref weren’t allowed to steal another great victory. We’ve seen too many and this would have been one of the worst.

Fury should have thanked the ref for saving his ass in the ninth round. He was out on his feet and one punch away from having his evening over. Great fight!!!

Nothing. He can do nothing. Usyk will not only beat him but knock him out.

Jeff Mayweather said Fury should put the weight on him and drain him like he did Wilder.

He needs to build on from want he did in this fight (as it was working for the most part effectively), while using his rough-housing tactics to bully and wear down Usyk. The body shots from Fury were also definitely getting to him & if Fury dug to the body more - he could've had a lot more success & probably won the fight.

I love it how these 'pundits' always come up with this stuff after Usyk won. Yet he keeps winning. Joshua was supposed to be too big, too strong for him. When he schooled him twice, the narrative was 'who cares, Joshua was trash anyway, it's not like Usyk can beat Fury'. Now he did that, and the morons are crawling out of their caves, talking rubbish again.

The Tonya Harding method might work.

It is simple: Fury would need to be: 1) less fat, and, 2) a better fighter. I wouldn't count on either happening in this lifetime.

I actually think Fury would need to go for the KO or Usyk will just run away with it 2nd half of the fight again.

Chisora said the same thing. They are wrong. Fury would get stopped in 8 if he came in heavier.

and why did he fade? Because Usyk was constantly going to body and crippled him in round 9

Lots of Fury nuthuggers around too

The first thing is to admit to himself that his trainer is a bad influence.

People need to have a look at the damage Fury has taken since 'Sugar' starting 'correcting' him. Yeah, Wilder is dangerous, but Fury has been dropped and beat up three times now with his 'Kronk improvements'. Although he get dropped heavily in the first Wilder fight it was because he went off script in round 12 (the other KD was grazing) and still took less damage than the third fight. The second fight would have looked like the third if he hadn't landed that early big shot on Wilder and he almost get decked in that fight early on regardless.

Sugar claimed Fury was going to land a big RH on the MMA fighter and go home, that's all you need to know about his influence. But he clearly has this mentality every fight with Fury and it's absurd.

The other aspect some people won't want to admit because they're enjoying hammering Fury right now, is that it's likely Fury wasn't 100% recovered from the beating his head took in the circus fight. It's Fury's fault for taking such a dumb fight, but the reality is it may take up to a year to have the brain fully recover from damaging fights like that. When Miocic took big shots off that same opponent, he was KO'd by Cormier the next fight, but after proper rest he took Cormier's shots easily in the rematch.

It's possible Usyk was able to hurt Fury this much because of the circus fight. With proper recovery on his brain Fury might not be as vulnerable. Problem now is that he just took another beating and can't really get that kind of time off to recoup his brain.

So in conclusion, with his terrible trainer and not enough time to recover from another concussive fight, he probably can't win.

Not showboat as much and stay focused. He was doing great work in the middle rounds where I was questioning whether Usyk was good enough to beat him. It was a close fight imo.

Nothing. He lost, no rematch is needed. He was KOed and ref saved his *** by a blatant corruption.
And scorecard was garbage, he lost that by 8-4, 9-3 + KD.

Fury needs to be fitter, he clearly faded more than Usyk did in the latter half of the fight. People have lauded Fury's stamina for years, but that's because he's always been able to control the pace of the fight, when he couldn't for the first time we saw his performance suffer late in the fight. Usyk out threw and out landed Fury in all of the last 5 rounds according to Compubox, where prior to that he had out thrown Usyk in every round, the moment his work rate dropped Usyk simply stepped on the gas and upped his work rate. Fury needs to be throwing over 40 punches a round to keep Usyk in check.

Usyk was constantly apply pressure and had Fury throwing more punches than he is used too. Fury threw 496 punches which is more than double what he threw vs Ngannou, more than he threw in the 3rd fight vs Chisora and more than he threw than any of the Wilder fights. Fury threw more against Pianeta and Wallin but he was below 260lbs in both those fights, Fury needs to get back below 260lbs if he is to not fade as badly as he did and can then set a more consistent work rate. Despite Fury throwing more than Usyk the impression was he was fighting in spurts at times while Usyk was throwing less but applying consistent pressure and set a more steady work rate which he then simply ramped up in the last 5 rounds.

Fury can't switch off has much as he does in fights. He's always tended to do this, we need to see a return to the laser type focus we saw in the 2nd Wilder fight and the Wlad fight, where he simply didn't make the same kind of mistakes that's seen him dropped so many times during his career. Usyk is relentless, the moment Fury switches off even for a second, he pounces and we saw that when he hurt Fury, one mistake and the fight turns on it's head.

He also needs to protect his body better. That was clearly a part of the Usyk game plan, Usyk was peppering his body with shots as early as round 1, clearly looking to make it count later in the fight and it worked.

He needs more than the uppercut. While it worked for him landing hard uppercuts to body and head, it's no different to what Joshua did in the rematch with Usyk and both times it wasn't enough. He needs to move far more than he did, he really struggled to maintain distance. Usyk's ability to cut off the ring and get into position to punch is uncanny, not seen a fighter since prime Tyson at heavyweight be able to get into range with such ease and consistency.
