What does Wilder need to do to beat Fury in their 3rd fight?

Fury's style is wrong for Wilder. That herky Jerky movement keeps Wilders hands holstered and always thinking defensively. If Wilder can use the jab effectively, cut off the ring to keep within punching range and not get tied up, he can have some success. But, these are things he would need to learn before the 3rd fight. I doubt he could learn 1 of those things, let alone all 3. Fury should out box Wilder easily.

I'll go a step further and say both of Fury's styles are wrong for Wilder. His offensive style and his outside boxing style. IMHO Wilder's only real chance is a shootout, throw caution to the wind, start fast and early and try land something big right away before Fury settles down. Yes, I realise that's reckless, but that's in my opinion, the only chance he has.

Some great comments so far and great insight folks! Box a fighter and fight a boxer they say. Throw that hook and follow through with the elbow hoping for a cut? Use the head? Slip in a low blow or two, especially when he gets hurt. You know, take a page out of Wards play book? I'm only halfway kidding, but Wilder does need to turn it into a dog fight imo. And straighten out that damned right! He missed it so many times in the first fight and didn't seem to make any adjustment.

I'm looking for some insight please. I don't want this thread going down that road. Think of it this way - What needs to be done to beat Fury? If you have to, ignore the fact that it's Wilder.

When Fury will fight with Joshua I'll say what it needs to beat him.

(Wilder with Fury is done for. Fury has definitely his number. Wilder has no chances)

Let his hands go with abandon and hope he lands something huge. He landed 2 or 3 crisp right hands early in the 2 fight but was in with a fighter who didn’t fear him and was prepared to take a few shots. Makes it difficult to see how he wins

I think Wilder has lost it mentally. I don't think there is anything he can do. Fury has dominated 90% of the rounds they have fought. If not for crooked judging we wouldn't even be having a 3rd fight that is in many fans minds completely pointless.

Wilder needs to first come into the fight lighter the extra weight really hurt him imo.

    Agree

I just don’t see Wilder, so soon and at his age, improving his skill set enough to deal with somebody that is so much more skilled than him, as fury is

He needs to go crazy from the off and catch Fury with something big before he's warmed up. That's about the only scenario I can see him winning because he's f***ed otherwise.

I think Wilders only chance is putting Fury away early , as others mentioned just go for broke for first three to five rounds. Got to put him away early.......

I see a lot of suggestions of going for broke early and I think it's may be the opposite. His two knockdowns in the first fight were late, he knocked out Ortiz late, Duhaupas late, etc.

He can't be at a greater athleticism/endurance deficit than he is at a boxing deficit, so maybe try to steal an early round then come on after the 7th (assuming he's still awake)?

You can't be "patient" and "wait" for Fury.

Fury can go after him, something Ortiz can't do.

Duhapauas did go after Wilder and did an ok job, then he slowed and Wilder lost respect for his power.

Fury doesn't slow, he only gets stronger. The harder you hit him the more aggressive he becomes. Fury is literally Wilder's kryptonite.

Problem for Wilder is he actually landed two nice clean right hands on Fury in their rematch and Fury didn't blink. A temple shot and a chin shot.
