What does Wlad need to do to be ranked higher than Holyfield, Frazier, Foreman?

I think 5 would be the magic number for me to make it clear cut- as it stands, there's already an argument for him being ranked higher depending on what the fan ranking them values.

10 additional defenses gives him the most dominant heavyweight reign in history along with Joe Louis, and if he makes it that far, he's top 3 right with Ali and Louis. I doubt he'll continue fighting for that long....I figure he's got about 3 years, or 6/7 fights left.

What I don't get is why Wlad doesn't fight more often, as he used to do. There's no reason he can't have 3 fights a year considering he takes practically no damage in his fights. Maybe now that he has the Haye fight out of the way he'll fight more often, at least I hope so... Clean up all the prospects (since everyone else has already been defeated, for the most part) and retire at 39 or 40 before he is shot.

I think there's a problem lining up opponents even with the current 2 fights a year for him.

Just pick the RING ranked guys he hasn't already beat, and when they run out pick at random between the ranked contenders of the alphabets until someone deserving emerges again. I don't think many of those guys would turn down the paydays. Offer the CW and LHW champions shots if necessary.

It's hard to overtake the "nationall treasure". George has it going for him, no doubt. As far as the other two, Wlad has way passed them already.

    Why do you think so?

Wlad has a dominant reign going for him for countless years, something neither Holyfield nor Fraizer ever had. Wlad would never lose to someone like Bowe nor be beaten to the pulp by Foreman.

It is very unfortunate that Vlad is in the position he is in - If Vitali never retired temporarily I think he would be in the same position as Vlad is now.

But one cannot compare Vlad to a fighter who regularly took on the number 2 contender, it would be unfair - By the very nature of their timing Vlad and Vitali have diluted each others ATG standing.
You either dominate an era or dont, well neither Vitali or Vlad have - they have shared the domination - lessening it.

Right now I have Wladimir at #11-12 but he'll be in the Top 10 when he beats 1 or 2 more contenders. If he can unify the WBC after Vitali retires he'll be in the top 5

I already have Lewis as my number #3 ATG after Louis & Ali.:good

Simply put...he can't! Klitschko just happens to be the best of a very bad bunch of global contenders and has remained at the top of his tree through commitment, dedication and application...so I'll give him that!

What's pretty crazy about this is that between the 3 of them (Foreman, Frazier, Holyfield) they have 18 title defenses.

Wlad has 10 alone. He has a great chance to beat all of them together.

That's what's really amazing about Louis and Ali (Holmes to an extent even though he never unified) is that they have more titles than those 3 combined.

    Atm I have

    Holyfield
    Tyson
    Frazier
    Sullivan
    Jeffries
    Wlad

Number ten downwards. Wlad overtakes them guys listed very soon, counting only his ibf defences what's he on now? Ten? Two victories time he's been top for 6 years and he enters my top ten.

    The top 9 look like

    Louis
    Ali
    Rocky
    Johnson
    Holmes
    Foreman
    Lewis
    Dempsey
    Liston

If he hits the 7 year mark I put him behind lewis. If he hits the 8 year mark I put him behind johnson. 9 year puts him top 4. 10 years top 3.

He could invent a time machine. Go back and fight them. And end up with a record of 56(KO49), 6(KO6).
