I agree I would say Cotto or maybe Pavlik. Of course now that Pavlik's champion he may fight less but he and Cotto both had 3 fights this year.

    Pac also had 3 fights

    Superfights every 3-4 months?

He fought 3x in 99': Whitaker, Pineda, and DLH.

He fought 3x in 00': Reid, Thiam, Vargas.

He fought 2x in 01': Joppy, Hopkins.

    What are you talking about?

    In 2005 he fought:

    • Chop Chop Corley on plain HBO
    • Mohomad Abdullaev on plain HBO
    • Ricardo Torres on plain HBO, as an undercard
    In 2006 he fought:

    • Gianluca Branco on plain HBO
    • Paul Malignaggi on a Top Rank PPV competing with HBO's Hops-Tarver
    • Carlos Quintana on Showtime
    In 2007 he fought:

    • Oktay Urkal on plain HBO
    • Zab Judah on PPV
    • Shane Mosley on PPV

You said Tito fought SUPERFIGHTS every 3-4 months. You words, not mine.

    Whitaker: Feb 99'

3-4 months later, he fights Pineda.

then 3-4 months later, he fights Oscar.

Then 6 months later, he fights Reid.

4 months later, he fights Thiam.

5 months later, he fights Vargas

5 months later, he fights Joppy.

6 months later, he fights Hopkins.

Somehow, that doesn't cut it to a superfight every 3-4 months.

Tito was also only the betting underdog against De La Hoya, and that was very slight.

He was the betting favorite over Whitaker and Reid.

    Don't get all pissy now.

You must have a bad memory from all those years of boxing, since you actually thought Trinidad was the underdog against Whitaker and Reid.

Everyone knew that Whitaker was ready to be taken from the age and inactivity and drug problems.

By the way, I thought guys like Mosley and Morales were pretty entertaining around that time as well.

I would have to say Pavlik, 3 good fights this year.

First Zetuche (top 20 fighter), then Miranda (top 10 fighter), and then Taylor (champ). Not bad.

I freaking hate that good fighters out there are only fighting twice a year a now and they used to fight 3-4 times a year, whats up with that!
I would understand if it was a complete war and they need time to recover but when they win easily and step back in the ring six months later that just sucks.
