What else does GGG need to do to be considered an ATG?

The man looks to have the best chin and power in the history of the division, and he's also technically sound.

I think he certainly is up there in terms of power. But has his chin really been that tested? To be said to be up there with iron jaws like LaMotta's and Hagler's?

He's a very hard hitter but he's not up there with someone like Jackson or Benn. Imagine if those guys had landed all those power punches on Murray?

At the moment he's up there with the second clutch for power, and basically unproven for titanium chin, though he's clearly no soft touch.

All he has to do to be named an ATG is keep kicking ass. Bizarre and excessive claims about his power and chin are not necessary.

Get all the belts and dominate for a few more years at 160. Becoming number 1 at 168 as well would really cement it.

This again...what does he need all the belts for, exactly?

You're telling me if he's number one for 8 years and beats most of the best middles in that time but his manager refuses to pay/can't cultivate a backspalling relationship with the IBF, he won't be an ATG?

    It's crazy.

He needs to go back in time to another era, apparently.

If this was some fighter from an earlier era, which the dust had settled from, then 85% of the dialogue would already be in place.

There are only so many outcomes from here.

Clearly you have an agenda against him.

So, come on then, what does GGG need to do to become an ATG?

I love Golovkin but isn't Lemieux like the second ranked guy he's facing? You look at the ring top 10 and it's filled with guys he hasn't fought. I know it's common (and not entirely unfair) to say that no one rates modern fighters.

Anyway just keep on doing what he's doing. Lemieux is a solid choice.

 wtf in the post you are quoting i am saying Golovkin DOES NOT NEED ALL THE BELTS to be great, I am DISAGREEING THAT THIS IS NECESSARY FOR HIM TO PROVE HIMSELF GREAT, how exactly does this mean i have an "agenda against him"?

I've already told you in this thread. Read the very short thread for my very reasonable answer.

McGrain has his anti-golovkin agenda exposed yet again

I always wondered why his posting history began just as Golovkin became a successful amateur...
