He would fight for heavyweight belts three times against Chris Byrd ,John Ruiz and Lamon Brewster and losed all of them. He would have some success ,in beating Mike Mollo and Kevin Mcbride ,but Golota would lose to Ray Austin and Tomasz Adamek and retire, but he retured after being retired for 3 years and faced Przemyslaw Saleta ,which he got koed in 6 ,putting the nail in the coffin for his career .I'm not about his personal life after the Tyson fight.
Tried to approach him for a picture and dude brushed me off like he didn't give AF. Fine by me, I was one of few to recognize him. And didn't want him to tee off on low blows, so I kept it moving.
That's just how he is sometimes. He ain't working with a full deck. that's for sure. Sometimes he's approachable, most of the time he's very standoffish. He was approachable at the Chicago Golden Gloves. He still looks fit and strong.
