Wondered that too.I think it was the Solis fight he was last seen in Pac's corner. I guess Freddie lost use in him. He's got Moorer now anyway.
He was more than an assistant though, he was with Roach for a long time, he was also the conditioning coach for the fighters at wild card.
Well I haven't seen him in any recent 24/7 so he must been gone for a number of years now. Now that I think of it I remember Iread somewhere that he borrowed some money from Freddie to open his own gym in LA.
Relentless, can you explain to me why J-ustin has to be typed that way?? A friend of mine on here has a son by that name and everytime he types it, EVEN IN PM"S, it comes up like ******. :blood We have been tryin' like a mudder ****er to figure out why J-ustin is a censored word? Seein' you put it in your title like you did, was wondering if you knew the reason for this? Is it a derogatory word in a language I'm unaware of?:good Sorry, I know this has nothing to do with your topic, but couldn't resist to ask.:yep
the only thing i remember is he quit his job sometime around the diaz fight to go to another boxing gym or set-up his own.
****** fortune was hanging out with james toney too much, they kept eating Freddie's fridge and freddie had to keep buying new fridges. Fortune got too fat, slow and greedy and had to be told to leave. I've heard he was politely lead out the door and then kicked down the stairs.
Thank you. That **** has been drivin' us nuts!!!! + 1. His son, J-ustin attended the fight with us in Y-Town, so his name comes up when we talk about ****, and couldn't figure it out for the life of me. Mystery solved. Good man.:yep:good
I think when Freddie took the job as trainer for DLH vs FMJ, just!n, as chief assistant, took over the overall training for Pac vs Solis. Then the day before the fight, Freddie flew back and worked as cornerman in the Solis fight. Then after the fight, Bob Arum sent a checque for the trainer's fee and the checque had Just1n Fortune's name on it. And he wanted the trainer's cut all for himself, because he said that he was the actual main trainer that fight. Freddie and Fortune had a disagreement about it, and eventually left the WIldcard and set up a place of his own. I think he handled Izzy Vasquez for a while, maybe he still does, I'm not sure.
