His fighters are always into some type of controversy when it comes to negotiating fights. I don't so much blame it on the fighters themselves, as I think they all want to fight the best, and are not personally scared to do so. He is just a hard guy to negotiate with.

Well tell me this makes sense, Team Pavlik offer to fight Williams on december 19 but yet that's the same date Pavlik didn't want to fight cause his hand is still messed up? Didn't Jack already said he don't want Pavlik to fight Williams not a 100 percent? So you still believe team Pavlik offer Williams to fight Pavlik on december 19?

 

Now as far as Pavlik biased fans saying Williams is ignoring to fight Pavlik on a future date, well he ain't cause Goosen already made it clear that it's 50/50 split co promotion or there's no fight. I agree with Goosen. Yes Pavlik is the champ but who has he defended that was very good in 08 and 09? Williams in 08 and 09 has fought far better fighters then Pavlik has except Hopkins but it was at lightheavyweight. Also Pavlik last fight, he couldn't even sell out in his home town for goodness sake in which proved he don't have a drawing power that most biased Pavlik fans seem to believe. And the quote from a fighter "what have you done for me lately" in which case what has Pavlik done at 08 and 09?

 

Goosen is not always in the middle of some negotiations meltdown. Arum is.

 

By demanding a 50/50 CO PROMOTION with the champ Goosen stopped these negotiations dead in their tracks. Period. End of. They can't even get to the melt down stage.
