I expect we will know by Friday if there will be a fight or not. Will be interesting to see what the WBA will do as far as the belts go since Povetkin has already pulled out twice and they know they make more money with Wlad as champion than Povetkin and that is all the ABC Orgs care about. Money.

 

I'm still praying Bonte finds his balls and signs this. Would be a good fight and great for boxing. If this falls apart it would be a disaster.

Dude has to have his own ref, know who draws the blood from him and on top of it he controls what gloves you wear.
And, if you beat him you're bound to a slave contract, a contract in which you will be under K2 control for your coming years.

No amount of money to them is worth risking a loss and damaged egos. Losing the purse bid has shook their world up something terrible. They probably cant enforce their contracts that hold Povektin hostage to rematch's in Germany if he wins. They can walk and continue to make millions in Germany against low risk oppoents.

 

If this fight doesn't happen there's only two people to blame. Boente for turning down the fight and losing his fighter's career high pay day, and Wlad for not standing up to him.

 

Wlad ought to fire Bonte on the spot if this fight isn't made. He'd lose out on his best payday.

 

Great article man.. Your 100% right and that makes Wlad a disgrace to boxing. I knew when K2 lost the bid that this fight will not happen. Wlad should be stripped of his WBA belt and it should be given to Povetkin. It should go down as a TKO loss on Wlads record. He has had 4 damn easy fight in a row. He needs to step up and fight the best or be stripped. Wlad will be remembered in history as the champion that padded his record by fighting unrated bums. This duck will be what people remember him for. Wlads the first heavyweight champion in history to get kicked off USA tv for because he fights scared and fights trash cans.

 

Yes he is a sham. I've been saying that for years but this duck is waking a lot of people up. Wlad has been ripping boxing fans off for years.
